What a great guy is @JobarSteve . When he was racing he was also jumping out of planes at 5,000 feet. Now, in his battle with Motor Neurone Disease, he is fronting up STEVE JOBAR RACE DAY next March 22nd at Newbury. Let’s back him all the way.

Dickie Davies - what a man. He was special because he was not just the consummate pro but just as nice off the screen as on it. How lucky we were to have had him.

66 years ago my Dad took me to @DoncasterRaces to watch The Queen's horse High Veldt run 5th in the St Leger. I was honoured to do this royal tribute for @GBRacing and be part of the @itvracing team today. youtube.com/watch?v=4R5cLZy6…

The Mall on Tuesday. 69 years to the day a little boy was waving a flag somewhere on the right as the Coronation coach came through. On the Saturday that the same flag was at Tattenham Corner as the Queen’s Aureole flashed by. Life can still be beautiful. How lucky was I !

Great to be with Chicky Oaksey signing copies of Stevie Fisher’s book ‘Blinkin ‘Ell on the IJF stand at Cheltenham. Come and see us again tomorrow and get one of the most remarkable books ever written. 33,000 words, blink by blink, letter by letter with Stevie’s left eyebrow .

Got the Isle of Wight Challenge distance wrong- it wasn’t 118km but ONLY 107km. This is Chale on the West Wight - at 52km not quite half way. Rather her than me!

The Round The Island Race usually involves hearty sailing types circumnavigating the Isle of Wight. Yesterday my daughter Sophie ran round it in ⁦@UltraChallenges⁩. Forgive paternal pride to record that after 118km and14hrs 1min and she was first female over the line.

In a week shamed by the Super League debacle the battle between Harry Skelton and Brian Hughes for the jockeys title has reasserted the true principles of sport.
