Technical Postmortem: Syscoin Bridge Incident, Recovery, and Remediation
On June 7, 2026, Syscoin identified and responded to an exploit involving the UTXO-to-NEVM bridge.
The incident was caused by a cross-layer interpretation mismatch between Syscoin Core and the NEVM relay.
The funds were traced, returned, and burned to a standard OP_RETURN, restoring the reported coin supply to the expected value.
The bridge remains paused while final review, validation, and remediation steps continue.

My first CEO taught me something that changed my life forever. He spent hours everyday watching the order books on Binance. Not trading them - watching them. Look I recognize this is a bit fucking retarded, but at the time he told me if I wanted to work in Trading I had to form this level of muscle memory. Watching the ball get thrown 100 times before swinging the bat.
Now if you spend >1 minute clicking through Binance markets you start to see the crime pretty quickly. Illiquid pairs climb up with equal predictable bid and ask sizes. Visibly algorithmic volume. I was shocked to learn how much is hidden from you on CEXes. I can see crime is being committed - but I can't confirm it. Is this volume from the same users? Who's placing these orders? So much is purposefully hidden from you on centralized order books.
Why?
Private order books profit from crime.
More than anything that I've come across in this industry - a transparent order book is the best thing we've delivered to the world. @HyperliquidX becoming the venue of price discovery overclocks whatever fucking cypherpunk dreams I came here for originally. Finance is fucked up, it's not just crypto. Make it transparent or kill me.
I don't give a fuck about anything else - give me transparency.
