We're interested in the relationship between gene activity and phenotypic outcomes after challenges like genetic mutations, chromatin disruption and infection.
Someone on Mastodon recently posted about issues they've seen with #zebrafish annotation in recent #Ensembl versions, so we wrote down some of what we've noticed.
The TL;DR version is that we are just using Ensembl 109's annotation, including for enrichment analyses.
It was such a pleasure to give an interview for the First Person series @DMM_Journal!
This is a great space for researchers to highlight their science and plans for the future.

The final version of our new article is out @DMM_Journal! We analysed the transcriptome of Shigella flexneri infection in zebrafish larvae and discovered Shigella-inducible factors involved in controlling host susceptibility.

New article out! We analysed the transcriptional signature of Shigella flexneri infection in zebrafish larvae and discovered Shigella-inducible factors involved in controlling host susceptibility.
Thanks to all the co-authors!
