Here are the SIMPLE FACTS about the Republican Shutdown: 1️⃣ Republicans control everything — and still can’t govern. They hold the White House, the House, and the Senate. When one party runs the entire government and it grinds to a halt, there’s no one else to blame. As one Republican once said: “The president needs to get a deal.” 2️⃣ Republicans don’t even have their own team together. They need 60 Senate votes to pass their own bill — and they can’t even get 55. This isn’t a Democratic blockade. It’s a Republican meltdown. 3️⃣ Republicans are lying about “healthcare for illegal aliens.” That claim has been debunked by every major fact-checker: AP, NPR, PBS, KFF Health News, and Georgetown University. ➡️ Undocumented immigrants do not — and never have — received Medicaid or ACA subsidies. What Democrats are fighting for: * Affordable coverage for 24 million American citizens whose premiums will skyrocket. * Restoring coverage for lawfully present immigrants — refugees, asylum seekers, and DACA recipients — that Republicans stripped away. * Protecting Medicaid from nearly $1 trillion in GOP cuts that hit veterans, seniors, and families. 4️⃣ Republicans are using the shutdown as political revenge. They’ve frozen $26 billion in infrastructure and climate funding — targeting mostly blue states — while threatening SNAP benefits for 42 million Americans and putting thousands of federal workers out of a job. This isn’t fiscal discipline. It’s extortion. 5️⃣ Republicans admit their own message is collapsing. Speaker Mike Johnson told reporters the GOP’s talking points are “getting old.” Meanwhile, the House remains on vacation while families go without paychecks and critical services shut down. 6️⃣ Polls show America knows who’s at fault. Every major poll says the same thing: Voters blame Republicans more. Even conservatives admit it. Because when you control everything and still fail to lead — you own the chaos. 7️⃣ Here’s what Democrats are fighting for: ✅ Keeping health insurance affordable for working families. ✅ Restoring funding for hospitals and public health. ✅ Stopping the GOP from weaponizing the shutdown to punish blue states. 🚨🚨 This is a Republican Shutdown — built on lies, cruelty, and political theater. When you cut healthcare, freeze aid, and hold the country hostage to please your donors, you don’t deserve to govern. The Receipts x.com/SkylineReport/status/1…

Jill Biden has a PhD in education. She's not a medical doctor. But you don't have to be a medical doctor to diagnose Donald Trump Jr. Terminally stupid and a vile human being.

Could you imagine the MAGA meltdown if Biden spent $400M in taxpayer money on electric vehicles that he bought from a friend of his? The corruption is staggering.

Because he's the president, not @realDonaldTrump. Trump is just a figure head with no ideas of his own.
I’m just going to ask this again because I didn’t get a definitive answer the first time… WHY THE FUCK IS ELON MUSK DOING PRESS BRIEFINGS IN THE WHITE HOUSE FROM THE OVAL OFFICE?!?!

. @elonmusk - hello? Where's the outrage for all the waste?
Secret Service: $7M to $10M. Air Travel and Motorcade: $4M-5M. Stadium Security Upgrades:
Additional metal detectors, bomb sweeps, security checkpoints: $2M. Local Law Enforcement: Overtime & personnel: $1M. Trump's Super Bowl attendance: $15 to $20M. Where’s DOGE?

Lies and conspiracies about my family and me are nothing new. Still, I am particularly troubled by the absurd claims that continue to pervade social media this week, fact checks be damned. Facts: I’m proud of the Clinton Foundation work that has helped tens of millions of people worldwide. Our impact speaks for itself. I don’t take a cent from the Foundation. Never have. In fact, my family personally contributes meaningfully to our work each year. Misinformation isn't just noise—it's a weapon. Efforts to undermine good work won't stop us, and we stand in solidarity with those who are committed to truth, public health, progress, and the endless potential of our future.

Musk hasn't found any fraud though. Not a single example of it. He's just found various government programs he 1) doesn't agree with ideologically, or 2) doesn't understand the purpose of, and is summarily firing people involved with them with no proper review or oversight.
What’s crazy to me…is the insanity of people literally imploding over the people finding massive fraud, rather than the people doing massive fraud.

If the people doing this, from @elonmusk on down, are honest about their intentions, they should have zero problem publishing EVERYTHING they are doing on a daily basis i absolutely want to see @Doge reduce wasteful spending. But i want the process to be transparent.. I don't want to have to guess which media reports are accurate or not. If this is the result of a detailed plan. I want to see the plan. If this is legal. I want to see the law that supports it. If there are questions about whether it is, I want to see the opposition. This isn't a shock and awe attack on foreign soil. This is a shock and awe attack on American Systems and Economics. That doesn't mean it shouldn't happen. But if it should, then it should be 100 pct transparent. If they hide anything, they are doing it wrong. If they hide anything, that means the goals is not the interest of the American People. We were promised transparency. We should see everything

Here's how stupid Trump thinks we are: he just dumped a bunch of valuable water from 2 federal flood control dams, wasting it into the Tulare Lake bed where it evaporates. None goes to LA, but he claims he's saving LA. Pissing on us and telling us it's raining.
Acting on Trump's order, federal officials opened up two California dams latimes.com/environment/stor…
