Delighted today to launch our new Take the First Step initiative with @nalaireland, @SOLASFET & @ETBIreland. A campaign to encourage people to take up adult literacy classes & to get involved in adult education. Check it out! Phone 1800 20 20 65 or go to takethefirststep.ie
Well done Channel 4 and @sanditoksvig highlighting #thewriteoffs in a clear and empathetic way. There is help out there @nalaireland supports anyone who needs help with literacy, numeracy and digital skills. Call Freephine 1800 20 20 65.
Disgusted by runners in #marlaypark this morning discussing #parkrun as they decided to stretch using the bench I was sitting on and no social distance. As a park runner myself I am cognisant of others during this COVID crisis. People behaving like this give running a bad name.
Eamon Delaney from @TipperaryETB is proof that #LiteracyChangesLives. Eamon went back to education to improve his literacy skills and he is now a healthcare worker. Visit us at #Ploughing2019 in The Hub at Block 3 Row 29 to hear from more #literacy students @SOLASFET
18% of Irish adults struggle with basic reading and writing, calculation and using digital tools in everyday life. I’m supporting @nalaireland campaign for #literacymatters Because it matters #future
