Something to think about in 2025:
Corn - it’s the number one crop in America. Subsidized for ethanol and HFCS which is why it’s in everything. It’s unhealthy and mono cropping ruins the soil.
Soy - another subsidized crop that is in everything via soybean oil and soy. They pulp it make soy lecithin, another food additive. It’s unhealthy.
Sugar - sugar is a drug. 10x more addictive than cocaine. It’s the reason diabetes is known as the sugar disease.
These three crops rule the farms and in effect the economy and are the cause of our healthcare crises. Simply put, we need to break this down and bring back small farmers. Rotate the soil, start making real food.
In a season filled with some incredible throwback uniforms (Kelly Green, Creamsicle, Oilers, Falcons, Vikings) it is quite possible that the Seahawks have the best of the whole bunch.
Make these permanent immediately.

So, why not lie all the time? (1/4)

Thanks for the great discussion around how modern people lose faith in Christianity. Here’s my take:
Human knowledge has a (1) rational/intellectual aspect, a (2) experiential/intuitive aspect, and a (3) social/pragmatic aspect. That is, we come to ‘know’ something well when...1
Why Russia will lose this war?
Much of the "realist" discourse is about accepting Putin's victory, cuz it's *guaranteed*. But how do we know it is?
I'll argue that analysts 1) overrate Russian army 2) underrate Ukrainian one 3) misunderstand Russian strategy & political goals🧵

Being meaning to write this for 6 months, but the Canadian response to the trucker protests is illustrating this so vividly, that today is the day.
The COVID-19 pandemic has laid bare many shortcomings and frailties in our society, but for me, none has been more damaging than the collapse of objective journalism.
I've worked in newsrooms for most of my career; I'd like to share how my experiences explain my view:
