What now, pro-life movement? Those who care for the sanctity of all human life could use a rebirth of ambition, a recommitment to care, a renewed rejection of violence, and messages of hope in a souring world. washingtonstand.com/article/…

And for megalomaniacs and others like Xu Bo exploiting our lack of laws against commercial surrogacy.
Even if it takes a constitutional amendment to do it, we should end birthright citizenship for visitors and those here illegally.

This article was written by a 26 yr old college student by the name of Alyssa Ahlgren, who's in grad school for her MBA. What a GREAT perspecitve..👍🏽 My Generation Is Blind to the Prosperity Around Us! I'm sitting in a small coffee shop near Nokomis (Florida) trying to think of what to write about. I scroll through my newsfeed on my phone looking at the latest headlines of presidential candidates calling for policies to "fix" the so-called injustices of capitalism. I put my phone down and continue to look around. I see people talking freely, working on their MacBook's, ordering food they get in an instant, seeing cars go by outside, and it dawned on me. We live in the most privileged time in the most prosperous nation and we've become completely blind to it. Vehicles, food, technology, freedom to associate with whom we choose. These things are so ingrained in our American way of life we don't give them a second thought. We are so well off here in the United States that our poverty line begins 31 times above the global average. Thirty One Times!!! Virtually no one in the United States is considered poor by global standards. Yet, in a time where we can order a product off Amazon with one click and have it at our doorstep the next day, we are unappreciative, unsatisfied, and ungrateful. ?? Our unappreciation is evident as the popularity of socialist policies among my generation continues to grow. Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez recently said to Newsweek talking about the millennial generation, "An entire generation, which is now becoming one of the largest electorates in America, came of age and never saw American prosperity." Never saw American prosperity! Let that sink in. When I first read that statement, I thought to myself, that was quite literally the most entitled and factually illiterate thing I've ever heard in my 26 years on this earth. Many young people agree with her, which is entirely misguided. My generation is being indoctrinated by a mainstream narrative to actually believe we have never seen prosperity. I know this first hand, I went to college, let's just say I didn't have the popular opinion, but I digress. Why then, with all of the overwhelming evidence around us, evidence that I can even see sitting at a coffee shop, do we not view this as prosperity? We have people who are dying to get into our country. People around the world destitute and truly impoverished. Yet, we have a young generation convinced they've never seen prosperity, and as a result, we elect some politicians who are dead set on taking steps towards abolishing capitalism. Why? The answer is this,?? my generation has only seen prosperity. We have no contrast. We didn't live in the great depression, or live through two world wars, the Korean War, The Vietnam War or we didn't see the rise and fall of socialism and communism. We don't know what it's like to live without the internet, without cars, without smartphones. We don't have a lack of prosperity problem. We have an entitlement problem, an ungratefulness problem, and it's spreading like a plague."

The nation needs a restoration of character, conscious of our individual failings, not proud or partisan, but real and aware that public policy is a fruit of character and not a path to power. Mike Pence is a man of character and may our politics be suffused once more with other men and women like him.
HEWITT on What Conservatives Believe. “VP Pence lays out the core thing… I agree with approximately 95% of what is in What Conservatives Believe.” I’ll take it! Thank you @hughhewitt ! 🇺🇸

Could it be that, in great part, we have a baby shortage because policy and culture have been deliberately anti-baby for two generations now - and this from the highest level of government, Rockefeller and Nixon and Packwood (may he rest in peace) to Clinton and Obama and Biden? pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/1234…

Three cheers for Pope Leo's comments regarding the Christian foundations of Europe and the defense of the unborn. Echoing the sentiments of Pope Benedict XVI, Leo reminded his audience that the essential structures of European society and Europe's commitment to human rights are unthinkable apart from Christianity. And speaking before a hard-left Spanish Parliament, the Pope presented an admirably consistent ethic of life, defending migrants, to be sure, but also insisting that no society which "casts into the shadows" the unborn can be called truly just. With bracing clarity, he insisted, "Every human life must be recognized and safeguarded from conception to its natural end, in every circumstance of its existence." And he concluded that "the moral greatness of a nation" is manifested in this principle. That he has been received so warmly in Spain I take to be an encouraging sign that the people of that country, especially the youth, have finally had it with a soul-flattening secularist ideology.

We should never lose sight of the fact that, until recent calls for "more babies," US and global public and private policy spent trillions of dollars making fertility menacing and driving down the birth rate. We are in fact still doing it - with bipartisan support. The natality collapse is not a by-product but the intended product.

Rarely, some developing children have conditions that suggest ambiguous physical sexuality. If you believe that abortion should be generally permitted, would you make an exception to protect the child in this instance? Or is this one more "disability" parents should be able to terminate in utero?my.clevelandclinic.org/healt…

It's a funny thing about the right to life. One who advocates for it believes each of us has the same and equal right to have our life respected. But in practice the greatest need to affirm the right is not for the healthy and strong (Shaq can negotiate an alleyway without me tagging along, for example), but for the weak and the vulnerable. If anyone has greater need of a right to life than I do, it's the child with a Trisomy or other malady. Defend those smaller than ourselves BECAUSE they are smaller.

Truly appreciate the leading Democratic women speaking out against these practices, especially on minors. I understand you do not wish to abandon the party over this issue, but you recognize the problem when Republicans adhere to their "man in charge" over his malfeasances. In politics, it is OK to draw a red line and make the party elite aware that they must change - and soon.
Bernie should know the facts before he speaks about this… and yes, it’s mostly girls that have surgeries, mutilating their bodies to actually de- sexualize themselves… pretty sad

My name is Renatta, I’m 45 years old, and I have a genetic condition. Yes, I have some struggles, but I still live a full, productive, and joyful life. Parents, if your unborn child is diagnosed with a genetic disorder, it isn’t a curse. Please give your child a chance at life. Their life won’t be perfect, but no one’s is. Let your child be a blessing to you and to others. Don’t throw away what God has given you.

It's part of the tragedy. The nations of Europe, which claim for the most part a common Christian heritage ("blessed are the peacemakers"), have been at each other's throats for more than a century. What should be a bond of mutual regard has not prevented savagery. It's hard to give up hope that this religious tie will ever foster an end to the greed and bloodshed.
agree except not sure why we should care about their religion (or lack of)

Well, just imagine all the diseases we could eliminate if we do away with anyone who has one. Brilliant!
Why are we discarding human embryos based on their genetic desirability if we can heal babies after birth? - @emlwaters @realDailyWire dailywire.com/news/gene-edit…

It’s ok to feel something is morally superior, if it is. Here is an excellent site offering professional medical support to couples receiving a distressing fetal diagnosis. fetalconcerns.com
90% of people who are told their fetus will have Down syndrome end the pregnancy. Virtually none talk about it. This is common and yet shrouded in shame. I’m not sure piling more shame onto it helps anyone, although I’m sure it makes some people feel morally superior.

That French video is a masterpiece.
So many children with Down syndrome are being killed in the womb, that a few years ago, France banned a video called "Dear Future Mom" of parents with their children for fear of making those who aborted them feel bad. It reminded me of Orwell’s description of totalitarianism: “If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face— forever.” That face, as it turns out, is the face of a child with Down syndrome. The government does not protect pre-born children, and so it must instead shelter from the truth the consciences of those who have killed their own children, thereby denying them the only real solution to this ongoing horror: repentance. jonathonvanmaren.substack.co…

This week, my wife and I made the very difficult decision to terminate the pregnancy due to Trisomy 21. The choice was not made lightly. We really appreciate all of the personal stories that you guys shared with us, especially the unconditional support we received from fans with no matter what we decided. I know some of you may be very disappointed to hear this news. We are devastated. This has been extremely traumatic for both of us, especially Ashley. She underwent the procedure earlier this week and is on the mend. Thankfully, everything went smoothly, but emotionally we are drained. Trisomy 21, also known as Down Syndrome, is caused by an extra chromosome. It is caused by an error in cell division, like a glitch. The odds of a baby having it is 1 in 1000. When I first confronted this news, I was shocked but optimistic. If they’re a little slow intellectually, then we’ll make it work. I signed on to be a parent, come what may…but I just didn’t fully understand what Down Syndrome entailed. Once we made it public, it became clear that MOST people don’t know what Down Syndrome entails (and no, it’s not the same as Autism): 50% of babies with DS have heart defects. 75% will have hearing challenges. Over 50% will have vision problems. Impaired immune function, developmental disabilities, learning disabilities, delayed physical development, poor muscle tone, structural issues with face, decreased lifespan, etc…Sadly, the list is long, feel free to look it up…Down Syndome isn’t a “blessing”, it is objectively shitty from a health perspective. I didn’t realize just how rough it is for the child, let alone the family…more often than not, they would be fully dependent on others for the rest of their life. The miscarriage risk is also close to 50%, which made matters worse…they may never see the light of day and it puts Ashley further at risk. We spoke with doctors, friends, family and genetic counselors and learned that up to 90% of women terminate their pregnancy after learning the baby has Trisomy 21. This was WAY higher than I expected, I thought it would be lower given that I hear so many say they kept or would keep the baby. I believe that’s because most terminations happen privately, it feels shameful. A lot of judgment being cast. You never think you’d be in this type of situation until it happens to you and then things change. To all of my fans who have weighed in on this topic who have Autism, Down Syndrome or any other conditions…we appreciate you. You matter a lot and we’re glad you’re here. I commend you and your families for having the strength and courage to push forward. As for us, we made a difficult decision that we believe in the long-run will be beneficial for our family. Thankfully, we had a choice. It will take a little time to move on, but we are excited to try again in the future and hopefully have a better outcome. Love you guys & thank you for understanding. ❤️
