Definitely worth a check! In theory ticks active whenever air temperature above 7deg C, but they have been found questing in lowers temps. Just take off promptly as you have done & you should be fine!

What a glorious morning to FINALLY reach (and go below) 0C up here on the hill. First time this season and latest I've had since moving to Fife. I thought it would never happen! -1.1C this morning, which beats the previous latest recording of 6th Dec in 2014.

Records show that over 84,000 British Scouts served in the services during WW1. Over 8,000 did not return. 15 were awarded the Victoria Cross. The most well known of these was Jack Cornwell, killed at the Battle of Jutland in 1916 age 15 #ThankYou100
