Great to have this preprint now out. NMR determined 3D structure of the ligand-bound dopamine-binding DNA #aptamer. Great work by everyone involved.

@bikashphy, @SarkisPascale, @VanessaUng, @DavideMercadan2, @cdmackereth and @aznauryan_lab reveal how the intrinsically disordered region of eIF4B governs its transition from monomers to oligomers and condensed droplets. nature.com/articles/s41467-0…

The first main article with @aznauryan_lab on the atomic details of eukaryotic translation initiation factor eIF4B, leading to functional investigation from nanoscale to mesoscale. This work focuses on the disordered C-terminus and role in self-assembly. @arna_lab @BordeauxSts
Great to see this out: nature.com/articles/s41467-0… Was much fun to look into how disordered translation factor eIF4B navigates across its self-association landscape - encoded by its peculiar sequence and plasticity. And still a lot more to be studied…

This work also involved an exciting and time-zone spanning collaboration with @DavideMercadan2 and @VanessaUng from the University of Auckland, which introduced me to many aspects of coarse-grained molecular simulation, and I look forward to the next steps!

Highly recommended! As a speaker in 2022 (and will be again this year) the exchanges with the participants throughout the course was particularly rewarding. Lots of great questions and discussion. Looking forward to this year's course. Be sure to apply before the deadline!
