Excited to share the first pre-print from our lab!!
Check it out here! biorxiv.org/content/10.64898…
We found that many RNA-binding proteins understood to regulate RNA processing can also function like transcription factors and cofactors to directly regulate transcription.
Finally out in @Cellcellpress!
Proteins with long intrinsically disordered regions (IDRs) are prone to misfolding during protein synthesis.
This is prevented by mRNA 3′UTRs that act as mRNA-based IDR chaperones.

MD simulations on TDP-43 shows the effect of molecular interactions in different disordered regions, folded domains, and nucleic acids on the viscoelastic properties of condensates affecting phase separation. buff.ly/tp5z3Ml
We are hiring a postdoc in computational biophysics and machine learning studies of intrinsically disordered proteins
We aim to study the function of IDPs by combining CG MD, ML and bioinformatics in collaboration with Tanja Mittag and Rasmus Hartmann-Petersen
NEW: Dynamic allostery in DNA confirmed! IDR of a transcription factor controls DNA allostery! Single-molecule FRET, cryo-EM, molecular simulations, and elastic network models. Thanks to all co-authors for the amazing team effort!

Dear authors & editors: Back when photos were printed and text typed, manuscripts were split into text, legends & figures—for a reason. That reason is gone. Please let reviewers read one continuous manuscript, not three files on three screens.
Last chance to submit your abstract for 'Cellular mechanisms driven by phase separation'! Let's tackle emerging questions in cellular organisation, adaptation, and robustness together 🧬🦠
The symposium will bring together scientists from cell biology, biophysics, biochemistry, molecular biology, structural biology, developmental biology, polymer physics, and soft matter physics to study condensates in biology and disease. #EESPhaseSeparation

RAD52 undergoes phase separation to act as a backup for BRCA2.
This condensate selectively recruit ssDNA, RPA, and facilitates bundling and end-to-end tethering of RAD51 presynaptic filaments.
