The CEGR is composed of ten laboratories with over 70 students and staff. We aim to provide a conducive learning environment for making cutting edge discoveries
Check out this preprint showcasing a collaborative project between three CEGR labs (@BaiLab_PSU, @mahonylab, and Tan lab) studying the sequence features dictating the binding specificity of the FOXA1 pioneer factor in human cancer cells.
Preprint now available: we investigated the binding specificity of pioneer factor FoxA1 by developing a high throughput synthetic approach ChIP-ISO.

After a morning loaded with exciting research talks, attendees enjoyed a lovely luncheon meeting our speakers and an extremely competitive round of movie trivia. Congrats Table 25 on your win! #PennStateChromatin23
“We Are” happy to be back together at Penn State for the first time since 2019! Thank you to Geeta Narlikar for an incredible start to our summer symposium. Who did you mingle with at our welcome reception? Let us know! Pictures highly encouraged 🥳 #PennStateChromatin23
Less than 15 minutes until go-time! Thank you to everyone for braving the stormy weather to get here in time for our keynote address and welcome reception. We are looking forward to hearing from Geeta Narlikar for our Robert T. Simpson Plenary Lecture soon! #PennStateChromatin23
Today is the day! Check-in is now open until 6:45 P.M. in Heritage Hall of the HUB. We can’t wait to see you there! Use #PennStateChromatin23 throughout the symposium to share your experiences 🧬👩🏻🔬🧫.
Register now! The Penn State Center for Eukaryotic Gene Regulation (CEGR) is hosting our 39th Summer Symposium on gene regulation and chromatin biology from August 6-9, 2023 at our University Park campus. Deadline for Registration and Abstracts: July 15th symposium.psu.edu.
Congrats to one of our NIH-funded eukaryotic gene regulation trainees @hmboyd97 (from the lab of @J9Kwapis) on publishing a review article about her work!

The Penn State Center for Eukaryotic Gene Regulation (CEGR) is hosting our 39th Summer Symposium on gene regulation and chromatin biology from August 6-9, 2023 at our University Park campus. Deadline for Short Talks and Early Bird Registration: June 1st: symposium.psu.edu.
To make it possible for multiple members of a lab to attend, we are keeping registration fees really low ($100 for graduate students, $150 for postdocs for early bird registrations by June 1). We offer a limited number of scholarships for undergrad and grad students.
