New data from @AIMBE highlighting the impact of funding cuts and grant terminations on the BME field ‼️ The evidence is clear: these disruptions are resulting in immediate and long-term consequences for biomedical innovation and training the next generation of scientists.
4 Aug 2025
📣 AIMBE has released data surveying >100 biomedical engineering departments on the impact of disruptions to research & training: - 71% reported grant terminations - 45% indicated reduced graduate student enrollment Please share our 1-pager widely 👇 bit.ly/3IXDVRW

This is terrible news and makes absolutely no sense why they would cancel funding of essential research. 20-80% of the over 4 billion women in the world will develop fibroids during their lifetime. Smdh
I found out this morning that my @NIH @NICHD_NIH F31 fellowship to study the biomechanics of uterine fibroids was CANCELLED.
