🚨 Tesla Robotaxi Shows Signs of Preparing to Enter the Phoenix Metro Area
According to Tesla’s Robotaxi First Responder Interaction Plan - Arizona Appendix, Tesla’s potential Robotaxi operating areas in Arizona include major parts of the Phoenix metropolitan area.
The listed areas are Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa, Glendale, Chandler, Gilbert, Paradise Valley, and Maricopa County.
The document is designed to guide police, fire, and other first responders on how to identify, stop, and interact with a driverless Tesla vehicle when a SAE Level 4 Robotaxi is operating on public roads.
This is especially important because Arizona law requires companies to submit a law enforcement interaction plan before operating fully autonomous vehicles without a driver on public roads.
In that sense, this document can be seen as a meaningful step in Tesla’s preparation for a potential Robotaxi expansion into the Phoenix area.
Phoenix is also Waymo’s home turf. Waymo One launched its commercial Robotaxi service in the Phoenix area in 2018, and Waymo now handles roughly 500,000 paid rides per week across its U.S. fleet.
Tesla previously received a ride-hailing permit in Arizona, but that permit did not authorize driverless operation. Since then, Tesla has also applied in Nevada to operate up to 5,000 Robotaxis and has reportedly planned Robotaxi-only Supercharger sites in Arizona’s East Valley.
In short, this is not just another administrative document.
It looks like another signal that Tesla is preparing to move directly into Waymo’s core market. 🚕⚡

아무래도 자동차 산업이 국가적으로 중요한 독일 등 몇 나라의 결정이 결과를 좌우할 듯합니다.
최악의 경우 규제 우회 전략도 효과를 잃을 수 있다고 하고요. TCMV를 계속 주시하지 않을 수 없겠네요.
아무래도 자동차 산업이 국가 경제와 많은 일자리에 큰 영향을 줄 수 있는 상황이다보니 한국만의 문제가 아닌 듯합니다.

테슬라 FSD, 유럽 진출의 핵심은 '규제 우회' 전략이었다.
EU 전체 승인을 기다리면 수년이 걸릴 수 있다. 그래서 테슬라는 네덜란드 RDW 승인을 먼저 확보한 뒤, 이를 바탕으로 각 국가가 개별 승인하는 방식으로 확산 중이다.
현재 네덜란드·벨기에·덴마크 등 5개국이 승인했고, 스페인·스웨덴·아일랜드 등도 검토 중.
다만 독일·프랑스·이탈리아는 여전히 신중하다. 문제는 현재 승인들이 '예외 조항' 기반이라는 점.
만약 2026~2027년 EU 최종 표결에서 부결되면 이미 승인된 국가도 사용이 중단될 수 있는 '킬 스위치 리스크'가 존재한다.
결국 유럽 FSD의 진짜 승부처는 기술이 아니라 규제다. 지금은 각개격파 단계, 최종 목표는 EU 전체 승인이다.

빨리 가는게 중요한것이 있고 확실하게 가는게 중요한 것이 있다.
나는 Fsd 유럽 승인이 빨리 보다는 확실하게 승인 받을수 있는 길을 택해야 한다고 본다.
개인적으로는
TCMV 에 Fsd 유럽 승인안건이 6월에서 10월로 미뤄지기를 바란다.
그동안 더 많은 국가들이 자체 승인을 진행하리라 보고 Fsd가 안전하고 쓸만한 기술이라면 여론도 무시할수 없게 된다.
정치인들에게 중요한것은 국민들의 표가 혁신이나 안전보다 훨씬 중요한 고려사항이다.
다음달 50프로의 확률과 10월달 70프로의 확률이 있으면 나는 주저없이 70프로의 확률에 베팅한다.
빨리 이기려고 하는 것보다 지지않을 게임을 하는게 중요하다
이미 물길은 터졌고 시간이 해결한다.

Cybercab은 플릿 투입을 위한 준비 작업을 열심히 진행하은 듯. 6월말은 몰라도 하반기 중에는 투입될 듯.
하지만 일반 판매가 연말까지 가능할지는 아직 판단이 힘들어보입니다. FSD v15 Unsupervised의 릴리즈도 그렇고 일반 판매 차량의 차량 등록도 어떻게 될지 모르겠고요. 필요한 모든 FMVSS 규정의 개정도 그렇고요. SELF DRIVE Act의 통과와 시행도 마찬가지고요.
현재까지의 상황만 봐서는 MKBHD가 삭발 내기에서 이길 확률이 높아보입니다.

한국 시간으로 내일 새벽 2시에 열리는 WWDC26에서 발표된 내용에 대한 예상 영상인데 거의 대부분 맞을 듯하고 정말 간만에 관심 가는 내용이 많아서 실시간 시청할지 고민 중입니다.
특히 제가 5년째 쓰고 있는 아이폰 15 미니를 아이폰 18로 바꿔야 할 것 같아서요. ^^
무엇보다 128GB의 저장공간이 한계에 도달해서 사진, 카카오톡 데이터를 지워가면서 쓰기가 너무 힘들어졌고, iOS 26의 애플 인텔리전스 기능도 쓸만해질 것 같아서요.
그리고 이번에 구입할 아이폰은 18일지 18 Pro일지 아니면 폴더블이라는 18 Ultra일지 정해야 하고요. 물론 내년에 나온다는 Apple Glasses도 연결해 쓰게 될 것 같고요.

조만간 언어의 장벽이 허물어지겠네요. ^^
외국인과 대면할 때 편하게 대화하기 위해 Smart Glasses를 활용해도 되고 에어팟 같은 이어셋을 활용해도 되는데 이 때 Smart Glasses든 이어폰이든 스마트폰에 연결되어 있어야 하고요.
한편 온라인으로는 Google Meet나 Zoom 같은 앱들을 이용하면 Smart Glasses 없이도 가능하겠네요.

Siri AI에 대한 경험담들이 나오기 시작하네요.
꽤 괜찮은 모양입니다.
현재는 영어만 가능하고, 모든 사람들이 다 사용할 수 있는 건 아니고 웨이트 리스트에 등록하고 승인을 기다려야 하는데 이를 우회해서 사용해봤다고 합니다.
답글에 우회하는 방법이 있는데 한국에서도 통할지 모르겠네요. 해보시고 결과를 답글로 공유해주시면 고맙겠습니다.

I've been using the new Siri on Mac by way of the Terminal Command workaround (still not off the waitlist). My take so far: Apple nailed it. It's awesome for a beta 1. (Hopefully this gets me off the waitlist but it is true).

i’ve owned every iphone ever made & i can safely now say this.. the new siri is a few years late but absurdly good. really good. like what it should've been from the very start.
it's genuinely conversational. it has all of the context by default. it feels native as part of the iphone hardware itself. & the dedicated camera button finally justifies its existence as an instant visual intelligence trigger. the reactive layer is basically done. & apple did an excellent job here. lots of small elements to add over time though like custom instructions perhaps.
but what’s still missing is proactive & agentic siri which is the siri that acts before you ask. that's the siri that notices, coordinates, books, filters, negotiates, & kills half the reasons you open apps in the first place.
but that's also the version that eats the app store.

한편 6월 30일에서 열리는 TCMV에서 찬반 투표가 진행되지는 않을 것 같은 분위기라고 하네요. 물론 상황이 바뀔 수는 있다고 하니 기다려봐야 하고요.
아무래도 독일 등 자동차 산업이 중요한 국가들에게는 고민스러운 문제일텐데 어떻게 될지 궁금하기도 하고 TCMV의 결정과 WP.29의 결정이 한국의 FSD 허용을 위한 법 개정에도 영향을 많이 줄 것으로 보입니다.
