King Charles tells COP23 Conference, 'The Earth does not belong to us' – adding, 'But, in parts of Lancashire, Cheshire and Yorkshire, if anyone dies without a will or relatives, I get given all their money, their stuff, and their house'
NEU and teaching friends, @NEUnion@NorfolkNEU Please help me understand, first told to reject offer of 4.3% £1000 yet now to accept 6.5% I’m on MPS3 was the original offer £301.50 better? Was there NEU negotiation involved - or just agreement with STRB? Fully funded or 3%?
Why is there such a discrepancy compared to the Scottish offer?
Apologies, generally uncertain about these points - and missed the Monday NEU zoom, because - you know, exhausted teacher…
Wish @GillianKeegan valued teachers. “Offer” made also shamefully expected to partly come out of existing school budgets. Assumed education dispute would be resolved in a similar way to Wales/Scotland. Apparently not. For context remember that since 2010 MPs pay has increased 30%
Rishi Sunak to outline all of the UK’s achievements in the three years since we left the EU, in what experts are calling the most important 45 seconds of his career.
#teacherstrikes aren’t just about pay, but also conditions & workload. The overlooked part of @NEUnion demand is need for change to be ‘fully funded’ School budgets already pitiful and cannot absorb fair/reflective staffing costs without investment. independent.co.uk/voices/tea…
📢WE HAVE DONE IT!
As a profession we have sent a strong message to this Government that we won't stand by and watch the destruction of education without taking a stand.
Thank you to everyone who voted.
