Thank you @AmazonUK for making it easy to decide to cancel Prime Membership. Had been keeping it as family used it for free delivery, now that's been dropped. £95 for deliveries for just myself is too much. Yes I have also watch a few things on Prime, but even that now has ads

Juts heard on @BBC6Music that Herbie Flowers has died. I tech'd his Fringe show in '97 which was great fun. So many good stories, of the stuff he played on. RIP

Happy 20th Birthday OpenStreetMap! "OpenStreetMap has grown exponentially or quadratically over the last twenty years depending on the metric you’re interested in . . . The story isn’t so much about the data and technology, and it never was. It’s the people. " --@stevec, reflecting on 20 years of OSM blog.openstreetmap.org/2024/… #HappyBirthdayOSM #20YearsofOSM

Had my first issue with @chase_uk / @ChaseSupportUK I had to update the phone app yesterday. But it want's me to login in again. Login seems to require some form of ID. Which is currently around 200 miles away. Fail.

A higher pressure shower gets people feeling clean faster. Turns out low pressure showers don't conserve water after all, so there's another attempt to reduce demand that backfired. Funny that the reaction to this thread has been so hostile when that's the big takeaway from it.

Very sad news, today. Many memories of watching Macca on the stage and sharing beers in various pubs over the years
Remembering Bedlamite Ewen “Macca” MacIntosh 1973-2024, best known for playing deadpan accountant Keith in “The Office”, shown here in 1997 as The Narrator of Terry Pratchett’s “Mort” in the EUTC production presented in the Pleasance Courtyard

A lovely note left by a blind OpenStreetMap user asking to add missing tactile paving and crossing information. In the end their daughter had added the info using @StreetComplete Great motivation to keep on adding these details. openstreetmap.org/note/40937…
