Exchanges reaffirmed the private sector’s central role in advancing inclusive and sustainable development in Cameroon. It highlighted challenges affecting business growth and explored opportunities to foster public private partnerships, and better support entrepreneurs and local enterprises. To see the impact of UNDP-supported entrepreneurship initiatives firsthand, the team visited local businesses. A key stop was #SIPO Fruits & Légumes, founded by #NouanegueLouise. Having received training via #YWEEP & material support via #OSSP, SIPO now employs 20 people, processes 5 tons of local cocoa monthly, and supplies 50 supermarkets across Cameroon. The team also visited the feed processing unit & poultry farm of Ets Wouembe. Backed by financial support from #OSSP, this enterprise is a vital player in the local poultry value chain.
