23 years of care. A child with highly complex needs. A package that should be 24/7 skilled support. Instead: untrained staff, no continuity, no safety. This is what system failure looks like in real life. Thread 🧵

This Times “speculation” had better be wrong—It would actively cause harm to children—there isn’t the expertise or infrastructure needed for this cruel plan. If it’s accurate, we will campaign against it vigorously. Which parent or school would back it? archive.is/KFcWB

I am seeking urgent legal support for myself and 2 of my children in relation to #safeguarding, #SEND, and medical decision-making. I am a parent of #disabled children with complex medical needs. I have been subject to Fabricated or Induced Illness (#FII) allegations I have not been informed in writing what these allegations were during any cp meeting for either of the 2 children and despite the children being placed on a child protection register These allegations have arisen in a context where documented medical concerns, abnormal test results, omitting of test results from clinic letters and specialist recommendations were not acted upon appropriately and also where numerous complaints had been made including a partially upheld stage 2 complaint against the local authority social care team is now being referred to lgo I am also raising concerns about my safety and my children’s safety in relation to a parent with a known & extensive history of #domestic abuse that includes convictions against other victims that the local authority wants to involve I believe the allegations have been made maliciously by a person who has been told by the police to leave me alone. This person has befriended and subsequently targeted other advocates and has bragged on social media about targeting domestic abuse victims for sport I have formally informed professionals of the relevance of section 91(14) these concerns have been ignored by social workers despite me seeking appropriate safeguarding oversight and protection and have not resulted in any effective protective action by the local authority at all As a result, I am navigating overlapping legal, medical, and education processes without adequate representation and being put at significant risk There is no social media or reporting restriction in place for two of the children. I am therefore seeking for 2 children - A solicitor, barrister, or legal team with experience in FII / safeguarding disputes, public law, SEND, disability discrimination, human rights or medical neglect Advice on pro bono, reduced-fee, or crowdfunded representation I am organised, evidence-led, and able to provide chronologies, medical correspondence, and statutory documentation. Genetic testing has taken place This case raises serious safeguarding and public interest concerns around the use of #FII frameworks or lack of it in this case involving #disabled children. Both children have multidisciplinary team #NHS autism diagnoses. Both children were under nhs clinical genetics review for Ehler Danlos with a genetist stating they would need further review at a later date but blocked by local paediatrics from being referred back to the nhs genetics team This case also raises #humanrights breaches and specifically #Disabilitydiscrimination allegation against social workers in relation to neurodiverse mothers with #ADHD and or #Autism Any parliamentary representation would also be appreciated If you can assist, advise, or signpost, please message me privately. Before ADP was introduced, initial award rates for new PIP claimants in Scotland followed the rate for England and Wales very closely. In the early days of ADP, the award rate shot up, but has since fallen gradually. By 2025, the ADP award rate is lower than the PIP award rate in England and Wales.

Lies, damned lies and the Telegraph. They posted CSJ figures using a false comparison of 2 cases. It claimed a benefits family were better off by £18k than a working household when the real figure was £16k worse off. The details benefitsinthefuture.com #benefits #budget
