AI is advancing so rapidly now. Lately, I’ve been wondering where the value lies for those working in bioinformatics. I feel that the biggest problem with AI right now is that it lacks a scientific taste. This is the one area where humans currently outperform AI.

There are two types of scientists: one type has a ladder, so they use the same ladder to pick fruit from different trees; the other type tries to build a taller ladder to reach the fruit higher up.
