Hi all, please take a look at this. Key #homelessness services at real risk here. Will impact many hundreds of people across Hants plus in neighbouring areas. Impact also on #NHS & #SocialCare Take a few moments to read & feedback. Thanks.
A reminder for #WorldHomelessDay that homelessness goes far beyond what you can see on the streets. @Shelter and @IKEA have used their #LabourConference23 exhibition stall to show the unacceptable conditions many people face in temporary accommodation.
To contextualise the underspend, £1.9bn would get you around:
19,000 socially rented homes
633 high rises with dangerous cladding remediated
3,800 social housing blocks retrofitted with sprinklers

Huge shout out for @HIOW_ICS strengthening it's approach to come alongside local communities working together to increase health and wellbeing in local neighbourhoods with support from @CormacRussell#heartsandminds#home@KeepWellCollab

We believe that by working together it is possible to make homelessness rare, brief and unrepeated. Because whatever 'home' means to you, we believe that in a modern and progressive society, everyone should have a safe and secure home to call their own. 2/2
Brilliant work @OSTCharity Super proud to be alongside you 'minding every gap' - supporting people to lead independent, flourishing lives @HIOW_ICS@navig8pat @JonP_SHFT @KensingtonRoyal
🧵A&E staff are in a great position to help people experiencing homelessness, acting as a gateway to other services & a chance to break the cycle. Don’t miss this @rcni article by Pathway's Sam Dorney-Smith talking about a new, free E-Learning on the topic bit.ly/43J8Why
Recently had time with @HIOW_ICS hospital, primary care & data teams to reduce #homelessness inequalities - this week building more cross-sector collab, reducing impact of insecure #housing c/o “Minding Every Gap” - agencies reducing impact for people leaving #prison@collinscsl
4/4 v much hope the project can hold a candid mirror to barriers as well as enablers to change: many of the latter come from those well outside the NHS. More details of the collaboration here

3/4 what is exciting is that nobody leading an ICSs wants to mired in terms of reference or strategising: this is impactful #populationhealth instead.
Some constructive intolerance is needed of the status quo, and the honesty to stand alongside those with lived experience.
2/4 The challenge is not really knowing what to do. Evidence is clear (eg nice.org.uk/guidance/ng214). The types of service offer needed are often the province of individual clinicians, VCSE grps or specific leaders. Doing that equitably at scale…a test case for #personalisedcare
1/4 Integrated care systems were not created to bust queues, but to change underlying outcomes. That need is urgent in Inclusion Health: @TheKingsFund are working @PathwayUK & @ItsGroundswell and 7 extraordinary ICSs to go beyond pockets of excellence

So after a purposeful break from social media, I'm so looking forward to speaking at today's @InsideGovt Healthcare & Housing Conference talking community health & wellbeing through collaboration with @CleDigi@WeAreVIVIDhomes Flying the @KeepWellCollab flag @navig8pat @hiowstp
