Delighted to share this series of policy papers by Pathway Fellows and Faculty members. This is our contribution to thinking on the NHS 10 Year Plan and the homelessness strategy. Evidence-based ideas to reduce shocking inequalities.

🚨 Too many people only get help when it’s too late. 🚨 Our NHS is struggling - the most vulnerable in our society are falling through the cracks. A broken housing system leaves people with nowhere safe to recover. But it doesn't need to be this way.

London please help. I’m praying for a miracle, I’ve just got into the office and noticed my mums locket (in all these photos) that I wear every day has fallen off my neck on my walk in. My mum died when I was seven and her jewellery is most of what I have of her. I’m devastated

One of the plans announced by the Government when it came to power in July was a cross-Government unit to end homelessness. Dee O'Connell, the Director of Policy and Programmes at Pathway, outlines three steps that would help this new unit meet its aims. crisis.org.uk/about-us/crisi…

Great to see @so_says_sally on this panel. The 10 year plan process she's leading in @DHSCgovuk certainly feels very participative and open so far. A really welcome shift.

Important question from @PaulaBarkerMP in Parliament and a welcome reply from @karinsmyth. @DHSCgovuk has a big role to play in supporting people experiencing homelessness and helping to deliver a truly cross-government strategy that can build a future free from homelessness.

It was great to be with @crisis_uk Skylight colleagues today, talking about how we can join up with our @PathwayUK work. Thanks to Croydon Skylight for having us, and for brightening our day with some really lovely Members’ art.

My policy head says system failure, my human heart says a tragedy and a disgrace. Thank you to @our_MoH for this hugely important work.

Read in patient records “ I get the impression she does not want this procedure” following rearranging. an appt. Patient is living in a tent, or B&B on a nightly basis How much would you be able to organise your procedure without security? Homefirst?

Home first? Virtual ward? Hospital at home? Is this how you want your Nan to be cared for or is it just good enough for people experiencing homelessness? We spend so much time making people better then sticking them back to what got them sick
Hospital at Home ? ( Virtual ward) in fact Hospital in a very damp temp accommodation @PathwayUK @janeyecook and 4 days later back in hospital with Pneumonia..discharged back for some more Pneumonia later on #homelessness for a OAP

Thanks @SkyNews - and congrats on a very powerful report about Ian. He has used 30 hostels over 15 years. It is not working, so we need a different answer.

Following a Sky News report that followed Ian and his experience of struggling to get off the streets, the Chief Executive of the charity @crisis_uk Matt Downie has called on the government to do something 'radical' to tackle homelessness. trib.al/Rx0iR33 📺 Sky 501

For #WorldHomelessDay, can you guess what laws protect homeless babies in comparison to badgers? Don’t worry @badgertrust, we just want to protect homeless babies as much as badgers. Repost this thread and get involved in playing #BabyOrBadger👶🦡
