FYI, one of the men, Muhammad Amaad (the older brother) is walking free - because he was cleared of all charges. Not-guilty verdicts were entered after juries failed to convict, and prosecutors dropped further proceedings. He left court a free man after the May 2026 decision.
Mohammed Fahir Amaaz (the younger brother, more prominent in the viral video) is not walking free. He has been in custody (remanded in prison) since his convictions in July 2025 for assaulting two female police officers (PC Lydia Ward and PC Ellie Cook) and a member of the public. He remains in prison today (June 9, 2026) and is due to be sentenced on June 26, 2026 for those convictions.
The tweet's claim that "the attackers... remain free" is not accurate: one brother is free (becausd he was acquitted); the other is locked up awaiting sentence for the assaults he was convicted of.
The most serious charge (assault on the armed officer) failed to produce convictions after multiple hung juries and was dropped.

A six year old girl was in her home during a domestic incident. Police were called. A uniformed officer arrived to help.
That officer, PC Dean Dempster, took her away from his colleagues to take her statement. And then he sexually assaulted her.
When his devices were seized the next day.. thousands of images of children being abused. Over 100 at the most serious level. Children's underwear at his home. His own face superimposed onto child abuse images.
He spent the night after assaulting her deleting evidence from his phone.
Nine years. Sex offenders register for life.
