Chance to learn from a master...
When I started Baseframe, the whole idea was pretty simple: make an easy, comfortable @framer template that puts real design work first. No overcomplicated features, no unnecessary stuff. Just a tool that solves one thing really well Open the thread and grab it for free! 🧡

This is the way.
While other agency owners are building to scale their millions, I've been building to scale my minutes. In 2018 I worked 80-hour weeks for a year and had almost nothing to show for it. Today I haven't worked more than 30 hours in a week in over a year, and I'm writing about exactly how that happened.

Yo, @Office PowerPoint is a screen design tool. Can we get pixel measurements as an option? PPT is capable but the UI and some of the set up is terrible. I can't change the color of a guide? Why not? Can't put stuff behind a master page item? Come on!

I have clients who want designs in ppt to match their branding but that means I am stuck working in your tool. Can you help out? I would work for you for free to help make it better.

More than half my design work in Figma is branding or print focused. Probably much more. I also do web but near zero UI. Of course this is just me but surely that's is not an unusual position. Figma is near-perfect for brand and print work. (needs better output - PDF and PPT)

interesting observation. not surprising to me. last year's Config (and year before), lots of designers were upset that it felt almost all about AI and UI. people may not realize this, but there's not really any competition when it comes to multiplayer design tools. so lots of people use Figma for graphic and print. Yes there are trad tools but they aren't multiplayer, or if they are, they're missing a lot of Figma's power. Also, people are realizing that it's nice to work in the same tool, regardless of the design task at hand. it opens up a lot of opportunity to share components across different types of work. also this isn't necessarily empirical, but my plugin 'print for figma' has been growing in users faster than ever before. just more evidence that more people are using Figma for everything. not to mention, all the new updates to Figma draw etc

Yo @figma. Can you help a brother out and give PDF some love? Live text. Image resolution, or at least full image vs scaled?
