At my son's high school in Wollongong CBD there is over 700 students and only 2 ride their bikes to school. Something needs to change.

We aim to double the number of kids walking or riding to school. 🎓
We plan to build another 1,000 kms of cycleways across NSW. 🚴♂️
We strive to create 15 minute neighbourhoods to drastically the reduce the 2 million daily car trips of 2km or more. 🏡

In @cityofsydney, bike trips have doubled in last decade but crashes are less than half due to network construction & promotion, bike riders AND 69% of residents (random sample) support faster construction of bikeways, stats slide and the reasons why in the other. @FionaBike talk

They had one of these in the carpark opposite my office the other night. I could not work out what was going on. It seemed a bit sad that the cars were getting attention, kids just walking around on bitumen looking bored
I just learned America has a thing called Trunk or Treat where people dress up, drive to a parking lot, and pretend it's ok we don't have walkable communities anymore.
