Short of making constitutional amendments, what is the point of improving Alberta's place in Canada if it can simply be undone by a few years of a Liberal government? Ken described all the work he put in to improving Canada under Stephen Harper and what was the result? It was all undone, and worse was done. "Electing a PM" is not a solution, if consensus to change the constitution can't be achieved (and it won't, without serious leverage). Why are we accepting a system where we have to hope for a Conservative PM in order for our lot to be improved temporarily and be willing to suffer when we don't? Ken is proposing band-aids for a festering wound. If you want meaningful change, this is the path: The Alberta Independence referendum succeeds, and though negotiations one of two outcomes happen: A) The demand to update the constitution is accepted by all provinces, and meaningful change is made to recognize Alberta's contribution to the country. Notice I said contribution, and not equity. Alberta contributes far more per capita than other provinces and political influence should reflect that. B) The demand to update the constitution is rejected and Alberta proceeds with independence. THIS is the only way to guarantee meaningful change one way or another. Everything else is a joke and should be dismissed as such.

Authoritarian regimes use "protecting children" as a standard pretext for broad internet control. Top 5: 1. China – Great Firewall minor mode rules enforce total CCP dominance over information. 2. Russia – 2012 child-harm blacklist law quickly expanded to block opposition and "extremism." 3. Iran – Moral and child-safety filters uphold theocracy and crush dissent. 4. North Korea – Total isolation framed as shielding citizens from foreign corruption. 5. Saudi Arabia/Vietnam – Religious or party controls wrapped in youth protection. Genuine CSAM blocking is narrow and universal. The pattern here is power consolidation. Canada's new Safe Social Media Act and similar Western bills start with the same rhetoric. Watch the expansion.

I'm very curious which month will be declared for Midgets from Madagascar?
🇨🇦🇸🇴 Today, I introduced a private member’s bill that would declare July of every year in Canada as Somali Heritage Month! I’d like to thank MP @HonAhmedHussen for co-sponsoring this bill with me and for his counsel. I hope that all MPs will support this legislation. Canada is home to many Canadians of Somali heritage. Canadians of Somali descent have left and continue to leave a historic mark on Canada, with contributions that span communities across the country and are reflected in Canada’s economic, political, social and cultural life. If passed, Somali heritage month would give us an opportunity to celebrate that heritage, the role that Canada has played in supporting Somali Canadians and their contributions to Canada.

Ok hear me out. Our local police forces need to recruit some ostriches to assist with policing the Pro-Hamas and Antifa crowds.
Don't mess with ostriches.

I am native Albertan, 70 years old and have gone from an ardent Canadian nationalist to an independence seeker. Why? Because I see no path to revamp the country, clean up its constitution, balance its electoral representation and fix the structural economic transfers embedded in the Charter. I see no way for the Maritimes, Quebec, Ontario, the West and First Nations to ever come to agreement on the kind of fundamental changes necessary to "fix" Canada. I see no interest from the rest of Canada to undo the horrid changes made by P. Trudeau that changed the highest power in the land from Parliament to the unelected courts. So, more in sorrow than in anger, its time to leave. Feel free to rebut my points as you see fit. To date, there has been nothing but fear-mongering in response, never concrete plans to actually fix Canada.

When it comes time to assign a portion of the federal debt to Alberta when it leaves a formula should be applied that goes something like this: Since 2015 when the absolutely out of control Liberal spending kicked into high gear, we'll take a per-capita portion multiplied by the percentage of Federal Liberal/NDP seats held in the province during that time. We largely didn't vote for that, we're not paying for it. In the chart below I did not include the debt existing prior to 2015 (approximately $612 billion) so to add that, Alberta's per-capita share of that would be 11% or $67.32 billion The amount we voted for since 2015? $8.13 billion. Settlement = $75.45 billion

Always picking the losing side... same with the Alberta Independence issue.
I’m proud to endorse @NVanCaroline for Leader of the Conservative Party of British Columbia. Caroline understands that unity is essential to winning, and she has the leadership, discipline, and vision to bring Conservatives together. After years of NDP mismanagement, British Columbia needs a government focused on economic growth, public safety, and common sense. Caroline is the candidate who can defeat the NDP and deliver that change.

More Albertans are exploring sovereignty today than at any point in our history. I don’t think it’s because they’ve become radical. I think many are questioning whether government remains sufficiently accountable, transparent, and connected to the people it serves.

Keith Wilson won tonight’s debate. He spoke of the future, while Kenny spoke about the past. He gave a message of hope, while Kenny resorted to fear, fairytales and emotion. Keith said 2 things that truly stuck out to me: 1) “Albertans are waking up to the value of their worth.” 2) And he spoke about how elected officials in an independent Alberta will be elected by Albertans, held accountable by Albertans, and removed by Albertans. Kenny also said 2 things that stuck out: 1) Independence would end Alberta’s O&G industry. 2) Future President Newsom or future President Harris won’t want to work with Alberta. Tonight’s debate will be available to watch on aristotlefoundation.org in the upcoming days. Everyone should take the time to view it.

I'm 99% convinced that Danielle Smith conspired with Mark Carney and the chiefs in the months leading up to what just happened with the referendum decision. None of this was decided last-minute; all of it scripted, well thought out, and well planned. Wonder why the news release came out premature? It was all pre-determined. Maybe this was an insider giving us the signal of this fact. They are subverting democracy, and using the aboriginals as their justification; like a tool to achieve an outcome. The AB government could have held consultations while the petition was ongoing, she could actually hold consultation right now. The conversation would go something like this: "Your treaty right will stay in-tact and still be maintained by Ottawa. There will be no change. You will have freedom of movement, and the same access to lands". End of consultation. Both levels of governments are happy to point at something/someone else as being the cause of this decision; the judge and the chiefs are happy to fill that role. This is not democracy. Danielle and many of the UCP need to be replaced. Buckle up.
