Ethena는 담보 자산의 활용 전략을 다각화하기 위해 RWA, 주식, 원자재 베이시스 트레이드를 추가했다고 하고, 특히 금 무기한 선물에 집중한다고 합니다.
금 선물 거래량은 Ethena나 연동된 거래소 기준으로 최근 하루 약 10억 달러 이상의 거래량을 기록할만큼 활발히 거래가 되고 있습니다.
이 중에서 거의 대부분 지속적으로 펀딩피( )를 기록했고 크립토 펀딩피가 압축될때도 오히려 유지될때도 있어서 Ethena의 전략으로는 좋은 방향인것 같네요.
Ethena는 이번 rsETH 사태에도 즉각적으로 브릿지 중단 후 피해없이 잘 대응한 케이스입니다.

These falsehoods include his history of joining and leaving OKCoin, the contract dispute with Roger Ver, whether he personally manipulated the market, whether he acted as an informant against Justin Sun during the investigation, and even his current marital status, among others.
I had no intention of revisiting these old issues involving CZ from when I was younger. But since I’ve been dragged into this again because of the book, let’s restate the facts.
During his time at OKCoin, evidence of contract falsification was already made public on the internet 12 years ago. The YouTube video released at the time is still available:

•0:00 – Connect to the notary’s internet
•1:00 – Log in to the accountant’s QQ account
•1:26 – Search for the former employee’s contact and chat history
•1:35 – Chat records and all previously sent attachments appear on the right. Here you can see both contract versions v7 and v8 sent to the accountant (v7 sent on Dec 16, 2014 at 15:17:24; v8 sent on Dec 16, 2015 at 19:29:47)
•1:55 – Open contract v8 for review (this is the version with the 6-month termination clause)
•2:15 – The 6-month termination clause is visible on the last line of the contract
•2:22 – Open contract v7 for review
•2:54 – Open the former employee’s passport (redacted)
•3:02 – Former employee’s public QQ account
After seeing this evidence, his response at the time was that he did not frequently use QQ, and that his account may have been accessed by another OKCoin employee hired by me, who then fabricated these chat records.

USDe의 담보는 주로 현물 기반 무기한 선물 숏 포지션으로 운영되며 펀딩비 수익을 중심으로 운영 되었습니다만 지금은 무기한 선물 포지션이 전체 담보의 약 11%에 불과하고, 나머지는 스테이블코인 준비금과 DeFi 대출로 분산되어 있습니다. 단일 전략에 너무 집중되는 것은 리스크를 키울 수 있다는 판단 아래, Ethena가 담보 구성을 다각화하기로 했다고 합니다.
✉️ 이번 다각화의 4가지 주요 방향
1. 기관 대상 초과담보 스테이블코인 대출
• Anchorage, Maple, Coinbase 등과 계약 진행 중
• 3자 트라이파티 커스터디 초과담보 마진콜·자동청산 구조 적용
2. 실물자산(RWA) 확대
• 기존 T-Bills(USDtb)를 넘어 고품질 신용 상품으로 확장
• (AAA CLO, 투자등급 회사채, 단기 신용 펀드 등 유동성과 신용 기준 엄격 적용)
3. 주식·원자재 베이시스 트레이드
• 기존 크립토 델타 중립 전략을 주식과 원자재 무기한 선물로 확대
• Hyperliquid 등 온체인 시장 성장 활용
4. 트레이딩 기업 대상 프라임 대출
• 초과담보 기반으로 진행 -> 거래소 리스크는 차입자(거래 상대방)가 부담
변하지 않는 핵심은 베이시스 트레이드는 여전히 담보의 중요한 축으로 유지되고, USDe의 제품 구조와 상환 메커니즘은 전혀 변하지 않는다는 점인것 같네요.
