The start of a standardized interest-rate market on-chain. 🔹 TESR (Treehouse Ethereum Staking Rate), published under the DOR framework, provides a transparent, consensus-based reference for validator yields, an ETH “base rate,” akin to SOFR or LIBOR. 🔹 Forwards on TESR allow institutions to hedge, speculate, or structure products around ETH yields, bridging traditional fixed income with DeFi. 🔹 Standardized documentation and recurring participation open the door to liquidity formation, interest rate swaps, and structured on-chain credit products. 🔹 This also positions Ethereum closer to a sovereign bond system: predictable issuance, a reference yield curve, and the foundation for a derivatives market. In the 90s, Singapore’s bond market was built the same way: sovereign benchmarks, corporate issuance, then derivatives. That process turned infrastructure into a global hub. Ethereum is undergoing the same evolution globally, but now permissionless, and programmable.
