My right-hand is temporarily busted. Can anyone recommend any left-hand only videogames? So far, I have the brilliant Vampire Survivors from @poncle_vampire, but I'd love to add some more.

#UE4 #UE5 tip: You can have your C UFUNCTIONS return a blueprint subclass by using the meta flag DeterminesOutputType = "parameter".

Just saw this being shared, it's iffy in more ways than one, so here's a bit more info. This is the Sebara Dildiy (which means broken bridge) across the Blue Nile and it shows the situation as it was over a decade ago.

#UE4 #UE5 tip: A handy way to control the slot settings (in this example the padding) of dynamically added child widgets in a container. Add defaults as widget variables and assign them to the returned slot.

Just playing Desperados 3 for the first time, what a fantastic game...
I had the pleasure of working with Denman for all those 5 years (started at Romero Games the same week) and he's super talented and easy to collaborate with. Get this man some work!

#UE4 #UE5 tip: If adding a widget to the player HUD use the "Add to Player Screen" function call instead of "Add to Viewport". The "Player Screen" is a section of the viewport dedicated to the owning player, super valuable if you ever decide to implement split-screen multiplayer.

Political take incoming: While I've seen plenty of arguments for and against vaccine passports, the dumbest one against is that they require everyone to have a smartphone. Its a QR code people, you can print that shit out at a library.

#UE4 #UE5 Handy tip for when you're sub-classing widgets in unreal and need to go through your old UI to update them:
Replying to @cbGameDev
One other thing about the "Replace With..." is that the top option will be whatever is selected in your Palette panel. This is really useful if you need to replace existing widgets with custom sub-classed widgets (i.e. "Button" with "MySubclassedButton")
