It is remarkable that the crimes committed against the Baha’is in #Iran have now become well understood by most the people of this country that all stand along one another for the protection of human rights #OurStoryIsOne
@AlinejadMasih, a notable #Iranian human rights defender, has posted a video statement to nine million Instagram followers in which she reads from a letter by the jailed Iranian #Bahai woman Mahvash Sabet and adds her own call for unity in diversity in Iran.
Masih Alinejad points to the persecution of all Iranian Baha’is and says they are targeted for staying true to their beliefs. But instead of encouraging Baha’is to hide their identities to avoid persecution, she says:
“Let us learn from them, to stand firm, and also speak about our own true identity and beliefs.”

Mr. Khanjani, a 90 year old Baha’i man with health issues has been arrested. His arrest added to a new wave of persecution against the Baha’is in Iran in recent weeks, with over 180 incidents of persecution against the community, including over 60 arrests and imprisonments. The cruelty meted out to the Baha’is in Iran has no limits. No human being, bound by even the slightest principles of fairness, would regard it as anything other than a gross miscarriage of justice to imprison, without a shred of evidence, a 90 year old man who has already suffered profound persecution for his faith.” #Iran #ourstoryisone #bahai #HumanRights
