If you’re in the Bay Area, check out this mango party on Sunday. I interviewed @darshil @mehtadeep and @SarvasvKulpati about what Americans who haven’t tried Indian mangoes are missing, and why the fruit reminds them of childhood and home. Free mangoes. Peak vibes.
This Sunday, hundreds of Indian Alphonso and Kesar mangoes will be distributed at a secret San Francisco location for free, as volunteers peel and slice the fruit on the spot. (Pre-cutting degrades quality.)
