Me to most people: Ottawa is way better than you think, you just gotta dive in a little bit! Ottawa mayor: look upon this apocalyptic wasteland, and witness the field of sadness and decay over which I rule.
Good morning Ottawa. Bonjour Ottawa.

Reached out to a few MPs, no response at this point
So... are we going to hear 'inside Liberals sources,' 'unamed MPs,' and 'senior officials' talking to the press gallery about the drama in the Liberal caucus? Fair coverage anyone?

Terrific work from @judyatrinh in getting this. The silence at the end speaks volumes
OpenAI’s head of policy Chan Park met with AI Minister Evan Solomon today. The U.S. tech company did not flag concerns about the Tumbler Ridge Shooter until after the killing spree. I asked Park repeatedly if he has a message for victims. Here’s what happened.

Congrats on an amazing career Murray, and the legislature and Sask news landscape will be an emptier place without you. Thank you for being a mentor and a friend to so many reporters who made there way through the Sask Press Gallery.

Tapping out at 102, disappointed that I can only think of 13/14 for Saskatchewan :(
Did you know there's an MP name game on the Polling Canada site? How many MP's can you list off the top of your head? (If you get over 40, I'm legally required to tell you to log off and touch grass) canadianpolling.ca/mp-name-g…

When I worked as a chase producer on CTV Morning Live in Saskatoon a decade ago we pre-interviewed every guest. When I worked on The West Block we would pre-interview non-political guests. These shows have set interview lengths, so a big part of a pre-interview is to hit time.
I am a committed supporter of @CBCNews -@RadioCanadaInfo. Yes I am, but... What I find particularly concerning is the reliance on pre-interviews—a practice unique to CBC—which allows the network to pre-select and shape expert commentary for broadcast. This is what happened to @mikalskuterud and many others. This approach serves CBC's narrative control rather than adding real value to expert contributions. We are now seeing more academics openly criticizing CBC for this practice, as it often results in filtered messaging rather than authentic, informed perspectives. Frankly, CBC-SRC could strengthen its credibility by ending these pre-interviews altogether. Either you genuinely want an expert's input on your show, or you don’t.

Always privilege to be able to cover the national Remembrance Ceremony. Met a 98-year old WWII vet named John who is pleased so many are here. Some veterans of the peacekeeping era are left wondering what they fought for given the state of conflict in the world today.
