Their plan: Spend $300 million to buy Susan Collins a sixth term. My plan: Defeat them, then ban billionaires from buying elections.
Collins-aligned groups already booked $100 million worth of Platner attack ads. The GOP plans to spend over $300 million through election day, nearly double their 2020 ad spend in Maine. bangordailynews.com/2026/06/…

Platner wrote a ton about his political beliefs on Reddit. He didn’t think it’d be read. He was a woke BLM guy who talked about the struggles of LGBT marines & got into arguments with Holocaust revisionists. There is no Nazi on earth who would talk like this. It’s dispositive.
It’s notable that a whole Reddit account was uncovered where Platner made some posts that don’t show him in the greatest light, but not a single post points to any Nazi ideology whatsoever. You’d have to think an actual Nazi would have been posting some Nazi stuff, right?

“NBC’s Matt Gorman” is an outrageous way to describe this man to NBC viewers when he has most recently been a registered foreign agent for the state of Israel. That NBC doesn’t disclose that, and that they allow him on air to attack Platner, is exactly why normal people support Platner and want him to take a wrecking ball to this corruption. Gorman’s contract with the Israeli ministry of foreign affairs appears to have recently terminated, so perhaps this is a try out for a new one. To let him on air and not disclose this is shameful.
NBC's @MattGorman on Graham Platner... "I think Susan Collins is going to beat him like a drum, and I believe that even before the story came out yesterday. I mean, you're right. This was an incredible story with, you know, abuse allegations and infidelity. Two of the other things I took away from it, besides he just seems to be a liar, is the fact that (a) his comments that he did not dispute about if someone broke into his apartment, he would quote, he would essentially rape them, and it was about dominance, not sex. Incredible. What an egregious, awful statement to make. And the other thing is, to Megan's point, it's a further confirmation past a CNN article a few weeks ago that he knew what the Nazi tattoo was and did not dispute that until he disputed it with Chris Hayes last night as well." "And I think part of the anger you get from some in the GOP is we remember folks like what Sheldon Whitehouse did during the Kavanaugh hearings when he went five questions deep on what 'boofing' was. And yesterday, when stopped in a hallway, he said the story was a lot of nothing. And so it's the -- a -- morality on someone like his part when we -- there's one standard when it was Kavanaugh in 2018 and quite another when it's Graham Platner." "Infidelity? I will not condone that. Whether it's Graham Platner or Ken Paxton. I haven't heard allegations Ken Paxton abusing women. I haven't heard Ken Paxton going on kik, which is, quote, called 'a paradise for child predators.' I won't excuse infidelity, but I'm also not going to draw a line between Graham Platner's abuse -- abuse allegations and what Ken Paxton did either."

I mean if we’re going to do this, why not just buy ads of Donald Trump on video saying he wants to rape kids or whatever? They wanna play the game, let’s play the game.
NEW: The Trump-aligned org Citizens for Sanity is dropping a six-figure ad buy in the Texas Senate race. The ad is a 15 second clip of AI-generated James Talarico singing a "trans kids" rendition of “Favorite Things." Obtained first by @DailyCaller:

All the reports from the Platner rally, plus the videos circulating, show a raucous crowd and multiple standing ovations. The NYT calls it “relatively sedate.” If you get your news from the Times, stop being stunned when events don’t turn out the way you think they will.

Powerful piece, highly recommend reading. Democrats need people like Platner if they are going to come to terms with the true nature of our country, with what we have done to people at home and abroad, and pull together the coalition needed to heal and reshape it. “A tiny minority of Americans (6%) ever serve in the military. Of these, only 40% of veterans have ever deployed to a combat zone. And of those deployed, only about 10% participated in actual ground combat. I am one of those, and so is Platner. His pathology: a combination of traumatic stress, substance abuse, impulsive decision-making in the past, and deep anger at the moral injury he sustained wearing the cloth of this nation, is something this country ought to consider when it sends its young men and women to war. The question before Maine is not whether Graham Platner is perfect. The question is whether the United States Senate, the state of Maine, and the country as a whole would benefit from having his voice in the room when decisions are made. The answer is yes…” “A democracy that insists on perfection will eventually find itself represented only by people skilled at hiding their flaws.”
