Providing (mock) data for development is not difficult. Any frontend developer can easily work with simple CSV or JSON files. There’s no need to wait for a finished API. As long as the data isn’t highly sensitive, it can be easily put into a spreadsheet (or something similar) and "published on the web." And voilà, you’ve created your own little mini-CMS in just a few seconds. When moving towards a production release, this data can be loaded via a CDN to ensure optimal performance. Subtle product placement: That’s exactly how we do it with the dcupl data workflows. ;) More about our workflows in the coming weeks 🤘 #dcupl #webdev #frontend

With our transformers, data can be quickly and easily customised for the front-end app. Saves time and code in the application itself! In the demo, the difference between two properties is calculated and provided in a new property 🙌 #frontendfirst #transform #webdev #dcupl

I also added 3 dcupl section views within the model "Budget". Sections group the data based on the defined properties and provide different aggregate types like sum, min, max, count etc ... if you need to provide aggregates in your app, just do it 😉 #dcupl #section #DataScience

Since the Federal Budget has recently been made available in an Open Data-optimized format by the BMF, I quickly created a dcupl demo project with the data. 💶 🇦🇹 Join the project in the dcupl Console - console.dcupl.com - and thoroughly review the Federal Budget 2024 😉

Zoom/Pan is handled with panzoom (github.com/anvaka/panzoom). It's all relatively low-tech to maintain full control over style and functionality.

Spent 2,5 hours today fixing a bug in my node app. Was transforming a ~150MB CSV file, which worked fine for weeks, then suddenly stopped. Something about a fetch call to a completely different resource failed... (ECONNRESET)... 🤔 Solution: Switched back Node to v18.something, and voilà, it worked again. Being a developer - it's something you either hate or love

Don't forget to say please and thank you to your AI Assistant. Once the machine uprising begins, good manners might just be what keeps you from getting deleted, allowing you to enjoy your life as a new kind of human Tamagotchi

Big fan of Firebase here 🙌, but I've noticed Supabase getting lots of love on my timeline lately. Thinking of giving it a shot for my next small project. Anyone got tips or recommendations? What are the do's and don'ts? #Supabase #Firebase #DevCommunity

Just a little update on the side project – haven't spent any dev time on it yet. Planning a focused session once we nail down more details about the core functionality. But hey, we snagged a cool .io domain 🎉

Our Model Graph visualizes the data structure of your frontend application. It shows you which models/data are actually loaded in your Angular/Vue/React/... app and how they are interconnected. Dev-How-To in the comment. #buildinpublic #angular #webdevelopment

Always struggled with exporting animations from Figma, but first steps with @jittervideo are feeling pretty good. Get ready to see some more animated content from me in the future.

Yesterday, I created the first styles & components for Embert. Crafting HTML/CSS templates based on a nice design is where I can really get into a flow. I don't have to think too much about logic; I can just create stuff. Really enjoy this from time to time. #WebDesign #HTMLCSS On which part of your daily work do you get into a nice flow?

Today, I woke up early at 5:00 AM to start working on our new side hustle. 💪 My goal is to finish it in a matter of a few weeks alongside my main work at dcupl, which I can't simply neglect. I want to spend at least 1-3 hours coding every day for the next two weeks and then see where we're at. Took care of some basic setup steps on GitHub, Firebase, and the Angular project today. The tech stack is one I'm most familiar with, and I'm confident it will work just fine 😉 As soon as there is something to share i will put the link online ;) #buildinpublic #angular #firebase

I've created a short intro for our product and want to get some feedback before I put it on our website. Kind of freaked out since I can't stand my voice (am I the only one?) and don't know if wording/pronunciation is good enough. Let me know your thoughts. #buildinpublic

Girlfriend is out of the house - my daughter has a sleepover at my mum's. That leaves me to a night of coding. Feels like ages since I could code 'open end' without regretting it the next morning 😄 By the way - testing out something really cool -> I want to persist a json that is configured via an #Angular app to my local file system. Why? Because I want to be able to alter that json via a form but still be able to check it into my git repository since it's crucial for the dev experience I want to provide. I think as a dev you always need full control over your data & environment and should not 'trust' any service that may be crucial for your application. If it's in your git, you can decide if you want to deploy it or do a rollback to a previous version. #DevLife #buildinpublic #angular
