Let’s talk about the Kennedy Center. We just had a huge win: Trump’s name was finally removed. You’d think that would be the end of it. But now they’re hiding the sign that says “The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts” behind a tarp, with no plans to take it down. Rather than simply let the Kennedy Center be the Kennedy Center, they’re literally covering up its name. How vain can one man be? It’s petty. It’s absurd. And frankly, it’s embarrassing.

| @BFMTV

FIONA HILL: Putin is starting to get very nervous about Russian society and perhaps elites. His choices are shrinking, and we can see that picture has become darker for Putin. On the front line, his army cannot advance, casualties are enormous and increasing. The other thing is oil. Everyone was expecting that Russia would have benefited enormously from the increase in oil prices. But in fact, sanctions that were imposed by Europeans and Ukrainian attacks on Russian oil have actually constrained those revenues. Revenue isn't the same as having more manpower or more weaponry, and he cannot turn the innovation tide against Ukraine. It's still costly for Putin to buy from abroad, from China, the components that he or the military needs for their weapons development. Putin is still trying to get others to hand him Ukraine's capitulation because situation for him doesn't look great.

Sunny Hostin addresses the derogatory slur made about Michelle Obama by a UFC fighter. "For a long time, Black women have been slurred, made to feel they were unattractive, and masculine. Racism and sexism was on full display at the WH. The crowd laughed. The President smirked and never addressed what was said. That is beneath the dignity of the office of the President of the United States."

💥Netanyahu began shrieking when the prosecutor confronted him with shifts in his version of events in question. Netanyahu screamed: "You've done something never before done to any public figure, you used spyware for your campaign to oust a prime minister! The ingenuousness, as if you didn't set out to catch. You violated every law!" Chief Judge Rivka Friedman-Feldman asked to calm down, but he just slammed his fist down on the table and yelled: "I'm allowed to speak!". The judge said, "Mr. Netanyahu answered the question, let's move on," but Netanyahu kept screaming: "You'll spend all your days in court! What public figure did you do this to!? It's a disgrace! Everyone says this is a police state! Stasi! A political persecution!"
💥Netanyahu lost it in court today, the last day of cross examination. Whether Trump keeps pushing for it or not, Netanyahu's pardon request is moot. It was based on the PM's inability to give testimony while running a country [sic] but there's no longer any need for him in court

The Kennedy Center hiding behind a tarp over Trump's name is "symbolic of a larger problem of transparency and corruption by this administration," says Kerry Kennedy. They claim it’s gone but refuse to show it. It is infuriating to watch them treat us with such blatant secrecy.

Today, Ukrainian drones attacked Moscow’s largest oil refinery. To understand the scale of the strike, a few key facts about Moscow Oil Refinery: - Located just 15 kilometers from the Kremlin. - Supplies up to 40% of Moscow’s gasoline and about 50% of its diesel fuel. - Overall, it meets around 70% of gasoline needs for Russian capital and surrounding region. - One in every three cars in Moscow is fueled by products from this refinery. - Bitumen from the plant is used to build or repair every second street in Moscow. Drones struck and damaged a key refining unit at Moscow oil refinery, likely causing the facility to halt operations for an extended period of time!

In America, a stranger will rename you in public, and you are simply expected to become that man. I entered a busy café. The line was long. The machines screamed. The people moved with confidence, like everyone had been trained since birth to order milk in secret codes. A woman at the counter smiled. “Name?” I stood tall. Eight hundred years of family history rested on my tongue. “NyanChuu.” She nodded with great confidence and wrote something on the cup. No hesitation. No fear. A professional. Then she read it back. “Nacho?” The café continued. Nobody stopped. Nobody gasped. Nobody drew a sword. Just me. Standing there. Watching my soul become a snack. In Japan, a name is a house you inherit. In America, a name is wet clay in the hands of a barista. I wanted to correct her. But she had said it with such bright certainty. There was no mockery. Only service. Only speed. Only a cup waiting to be born. So I bowed. “Yes. Today, I am Nacho.” The man behind me said, “That’s kind of a cool name.” He had no idea what he had witnessed. A funeral. A baptism. A menu item. I stepped aside and waited. Every time the staff shouted another name, people moved instantly. “Emily!” “Jason!” “Mike!” Then it came. “Nacho!” The sound hit the room. Not as a mistake. As destiny. I walked forward. Not fast. A man should never rush toward a new identity. The barista handed me the cup. “Have a good one, Nacho.” I received it with both hands. Because when America gives you a new name, it also gives you the courage to answer to it. I drank the coffee. Too hot. Too sweet. Too large. Perfect. For twenty minutes, I was not NyanChuu. I was Nacho. I sat by the window and wondered what kind of man Nacho should become. A lighter man. A crispy man. A man who does not fear melted cheese. Before leaving, I looked at the cup again. The handwriting was terrible. The meaning was holy. You call it a misspelled name. I call it a temporary American rebirth. Tomorrow, I will return to another counter. If they call me NyanChuu, I will bow. If they call me Nacho, I will bow deeper. And if one day they call me Taco, I will not resist the ceremony.

A hot mic at the G7 caught Macron urging Zelensky to extend his stay at the summit. Zelensky told him he needed to return to Brussels. When Macron asked whether a one-on-one with Trump had been arranged, Zelensky appeared to say no - at which point both realized the mics were live and dropped their voices. Trump later announced an impromptu bilateral with Zelensky that same day. In a separate moment, Macron was also picked up on mic calling his own meeting with Trump "difficult."

News: Secret Service officials are furious that FBI Director Kash Patel prematurely announced on Tuesday morning the details of a sealed and ongoing criminal investigation into a plot to attack the UFC fight event this weekend with drones, according to three people familiar with the incident. Secret Service and FBI agents had been partnered on the investigation into a group of individuals discussing plans for a drone attack at the White House in the last week, and had discussed unsealing the case and making an announcement later that day. The problem with Patel’s social media announcement, the sources say, was the case had been sealed in court and roughly ten suspects had not yet been arrested and placed in custody at the time Patel made his public social media post. Secret Service and FBI officials had discussed seeking to make more arrests, unseal the case by late Tuesday afternoon and make a joint public statement, and were surprised by Patel “jumping the gun.” “We all woke up this morning to see this on Twitter,” said one administration official, who like others, asked to speak confidentially to discuss sensitive matters. The threat to the UFC event became known to the Secret Service and FBI in the last week when a relative of one of the suspects contacted local police in the Cincinnati area, according to two people briefed on the probe, and reporting that their relative was talking about engaging in some vague plot in DC. An advanced threat interdiction team at the Secret Service, with the help of the FBI, began seeking a subpoena for an encrypted Signal chat thread and then were able to identify the plot being planned and some of the people discussing using drones and possible snipers to attack the UFC fight event at the White House’s South lawn. Authorities then arrested one suspect on June 13 and moved immediately to seal the case so the FBI and Secret Service could continue investigating and identifying and arresting additional suspects. The Secret Service also dramatically increased its plans for security around the event as a precaution, and put out an alert to its law enforcement partners to be on the lookout for people with drones in downtown Washington and other identifying information. Matt Quinn, the Secret Service’s deputy director, called out Patel’s premature announcement in a Tuesday news conference but did not use his name and said the Secret Service made a conscious decision not to reveal the existence of the probe prematurely. “I’ll tell you a phrase I learned early in my career in the New York field office and that’s `Don’t choke on your own smoke,” he said. “I’ll tell you the Secret Service led that investigation from the beginning. I’ll tell you that case is ongoing. In order to maintain the integrity of the investigation and the security plan, we chose not to leak it.” He said he was choosing not to discuss extensive details of the case because it remained sealed and ongoing. Nichols is right on the core analysis. Walk through what actually happened. Trump cancelled the JCPOA in his first term. Called it a catastrophic disaster. Promised unconditional surrender. Promised regime change. Said Iran was weeks from a bomb. Seven thousand five hundred people are dead. The regime survived. The IRGC is intact. Iran gets billions in unfrozen assets. The nuclear commitment being reaffirmed tonight is the same pledge Iran made under the agreement Trump torched. Fortune The Iranians declined to sign on Trump's birthday. They said Friday in Switzerland works better. Trump announced he was "fully authorizing" the toll-free opening of the Strait of Hormuz - a waterway only Iran actually controls. Israel was left out. Hezbollah attacked today. Trump told Netanyahu to calm down. Four months. Thousands dead. Gas prices that wiped out American workers' wage gains for a year and a half. And the finish line is a reaffirmation of the deal we already had before Trump blew it up the first time. That is the complete accounting.
