@IHUB_Data at International Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad (IIITH), set up with support from
@IndiaDST, has been nurturing many innovative technologies.
iRASTE in Nagpur is India's first initiative to integrate
#AI for road safety, along with a GenAI-based driving simulator, to reduce the chances of road fatalities in scenarios specific to driving in India.
The hub works on healthcare and mobility and has developed an AI-based early oral
#Cancer screening, and a live dashboard to identify genomic hotspots. An oral cancer app has been developed that is now being used in the field as a pre-screening tool in rural parts of Northeast India, where it has benefited more than 3,500 individuals, in partnership with Biocon and Vishnu Dental College.
Another significant milestone is the IDEA Lab that I inaugurated during my short visit, which can facilitate translational research in the fields of healthcare, mobility, and data foundation. A total of 52 India-specific datasets covering smart mobility, healthcare, and smart city buildings' IoT are available on the data foundation platform. This unique data collection is available for R&D and startups to build new data-driven solutions. They are also creating the largest collection of India Pathology Data (IPD) and Cardiovascular Data (CVD).
