Remote work and telemedicine were two things that disabled people had wanted for years. They’re the kind of accommodations that make a huge difference in our quality of life & allow us needed autonomy. Why are folks cheering to end telework? How does it hurt them?
When I saw Trump signed the executive order eliminating remote work for all federal employees and hearing the gleeful cheers of his supporters it just enraged me since it disregards the right to accommodations under the ADA. This is just the beginning

Due to the poor air quality and purifier shortages in Southern California right now, we're opening our CA warehouse doors so people can get clean air gear as quickly as possible. Order online with the 20% off code "WAREHOUSE" for in-person pick up on Saturday, Jan 11. ☁️

You're not a serious public health program, practitioner, or health scientist if you don't understand this—or advocate for it. We don’t tolerate wildfire smoke or smoking indoors because we know the devastating impact on health. Yet we continue to ignore the dangers of airborne pathogens that damage multiple organ systems—neurological, cardiorespiratory, endocrine, and immune systems included—allowing them to circulate freely in public spaces. Waiting for the CDC to require air-cleaning technologies in healthcare facilities, schools, restaurants, and public spaces is like waiting for a chef to clean the kitchen after a food poisoning outbreak. It’s their job, but they’re too busy keeping costs low to take responsibility—and people are left paying the price with their health. Clean air isn’t a luxury—it’s a necessity. Protecting public health shouldn’t depend on whether someone thinks it’s affordable or convenient. It’s time to act, with or without mandates. Because protecting public health should never be optional.

Hi, emergency doc here to debunk the claim that “when you take care of yourself and have good health there are no emergencies.” This is a reprehensible, heartless statement. I see kids who were shot, domestic violence, assaults, fatal car crashes, people trapped in a house fire…

Replying to @DrPlantel
“But when it’s an emergency, who do you call?” When you take care of yourself and have good health there are no emergencies. And if I need help I see an ND, Osteopath, Chiropractor, Acupuncturist, Chinese medicine doctor, or Functional Medicine doctor before an allopathic one. Unfortunately allopathic medicine became about expensive tests and drugs — not health. I walked out of the office of a primary care doctor of 20 years in NY (would go for annual bloodtests only) when he scoffed at me for refusing various vaccines he wanted to push on me!??? I could feel his frustration but I am not his pawn to meet his quota. Shocked it came down to that?!! I am 65, have never taken pharmaceuticals and don’t have any diseases. I prefer to use natural herbs, homeopathy and nutrition to guide my health. Its time to realize that alopathic care is dying out. No one wants expensive drug cocktails anymore or doctors that aren’t experts in health. Move over to Functional Medicine or stop complaining. Every business has to pivot at some point. This is your pivot.

New modeling study finds that if everyone in the United Kingdom had worn N95 or FFP2 masks from the start of the pandemic, the rate of COVID-19 transmission would have been 9 times lower.

It's disturbing seeing some medical professionals normalize RFK Jr by saying "we have to meet him halfway." NOPE. RFK Jr is a charlatan who has deliberately spread disinformation that has killed people. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.
