Antoine Moses, a 23-year-old tree planter from Quebec, Canada set a world record by planting 23,060 trees in 24 hours. He’s a real environmentalist, unlike those idiots who block motorways or spill milk in supermarkets.

What the legacy media don’t realize about Joe Rogan is that people enjoy him not because they agree with everything he says, but because he approaches disagreement with curiosity instead of furiosity. Among elite media professionals this quality is preciously rare.

The manipulation of our information landscape by way of the algorithm. A tool that can alter psyches en masse and the fabric of society… seems huge. Transparency would be pretty good here, so you know what you’re ingesting. Imagine seeing the “optimisation”…
“They are a private company, they can do whatever they want. It’s a free market economy.” I don’t mean to be stupid, but can someone explain how this applies to weapons manufacturers, baby food companies, automobile makers, communications companies, oil and gas, and airlines?

The ethos in liberal culture that you're now supposed to terminate friendships and even family bonds over political disagreements is extremely unhealthy, to put that mildly, but that's what happens when politics becomes the sole source of purpose, identity and spirituality.

I figure it’s worth posting a summary thread about my current thoughts on COVID to refer back to: Like many great blunders in history, we went into this without an exit plan. The landscape has changed such that risk is now individual cost/benefit more than public health. 1/
