These have arrived! - the finished, hardback copies of a little book I've written about the joyfully unpredictable experience of producing Father Ted. Publication is Feb 20th but I'd like to give away two copies early - RT by Saturday 6pm and my dog Watson will pick the winners.

The Wexford Carol, one of the oldest surviving Christmas carols. Thought to have been written in Ireland in the 12th century but the melody may be much older, originally sung to celebrate the winter solstice. Happy solstice from the west of Ireland

Medieval floor tile from St. Andrew’s Priory in Northampton depicting a pair of shears; probably a reference to the textile trade. Now part of the collections at Northampton Museum & Art Gallery. #TilesOnTuesday #Medieval #Northampton 📸 My own.

The cushions are so beautiful, I purchased two as presents, unfortunately they are just too nice to gift - they look fab on my sofas! They are vegan suede so tactile & soft, but it’s the fabulous art work that everyone is commenting on and the stunning replication of colours!

David Bowie performing "Starman", 1972. This performance is one of the most essential pieces of music television ever broadcast. It has influenced generations of musicians and writers who saw it at the time and countless others who have since seen it over the decades.
