Yesterday I shared @RESCUEorg @RESCUE_UK data on the 16 most climate-vulnerable and conflict-affected countries in the world, like Sudan, Syria & Myanmar.
I was pleased to hear Development Minister @AnnelieseDodds' commitment to climate finance for adaptation in these places.

Huge congratulations to Masoma and Halyna on helping to expand employment support for Ukrainians in Lewisham to include refugees from Afghanistan, Syria, and Iraq!
Since meeting on last year's IRC Leadership Programme, they've used the skills they learned to help other refugees.

Staggering number in new 2021 UK aid stats released today: even in 2021, the UK spent more foreign aid (£756m) on "increased accommodation costs for the rising number of asylum seekers coming to the UK" than it did on humanitarian aid (£743m).

This 100m figure is - I would guess - a ref to the UN’s calculation that 100m are fleeing conflict and disaster. But most do not cross a border. 55 million are “internally displaced” - eg Syrians who fled from Aleppo to Idlib. The idea they are all coming to UK is absurd.
