This is truly a loss! In 1995, I signed Destiny's Child to D’Wayne Wiggins, who provided exceptional care during their early development. He guided Beyoncé in understanding the creative processes of songwriting and vocal production. What I admire most about D'Wayne is how he gracefully stepped aside as the ladies evolved and required a new creative direction, wishing them nothing but the best—a rarity in both our industry and life. D’Wayne had such humility. We all can learn from him. Most of you have no idea of the journey of Destiny’s Child which has evolved to the solo careers of Beyoncé, Kelly and Michelle and those who truly played a pivotal role. Look forward to me sharing the journey of Destiny’s Child. D’Wayne, may your legacy last forever.

We are deeply saddened to share the passing of legendary R&B/Neo-Soul singer Angie Stone at the age of 63. 🙏🏾🕊️ A true icon, Angie not only captivated us with her powerful voice but also reshaped the landscape of modern R&B. Her solo career gave us timeless hits like “Wish I Didn’t Miss You” and “Brotha,” the latter being a heartfelt tribute to Black men, uplifting and celebrating their strength and resilience. Angie also co-wrote groundbreaking tracks with her one-time romantic partner D’Angelo, including classics on Voodoo (“Playa, Playa,” “Send It On,” “Spanish Joint”) and Brown Sugar (“Jonz in My Bonz”). As a member of The Sequence, she contributed to the foundational hip-hop track "Funk You Up," sampled by artists from Dr. Dre to Erykah Badu. Angie’s influence transcended genres, leaving an indelible mark on music and culture. Her legacy lives on in the songs that continue to inspire and uplift. Rest in peace, Angie Stone.

Detroit will officially recognize February 7 as Dilla Day in honor of J Dilla’s legacy. 👏🏽💐 Ahead of the late producer’s birthday, the family of J Dilla shared words of gratitude with the Detroit city council about the official day of honor. In October, it was announced that five Detroit natives—including J Dilla—would be honored with street names in their hometown after a recent vote by the Detroit City Council. His honorary street sign is set to be located at the intersection of Nevada and Charest Streets near his family’s home, where he recorded in a basement studio.

This is so disrespectful how Babyface was treated in this interview. Babyface has had such a significant impact on the music industry, in sooo many ways. Its maddening to see a LEGEND not get the respect and attention they deserve. He is a pioneer and deserves so much better than this. With decades of groundbreaking work as a songwriter, producer, and performer, he's shaped the sound of multiple generations. I love you @babyface And I am a forever fan and thankful for all that you have blessed us with By the way- what a class act you are PS big or small, old or new, - you don't treat people like this. At least not in my eyes. There's a way to handle this and this was wrong in my opinion
