One reason the left is freaking out about images and videos of Iranian women celebrating the demise of the Ayatollah is because, at its core, leftism is a racist movement Rather than seeing people from the Middle East as individuals capable of independent thought, leftists tend to group them altogether under the rubric of "Brown people," thinking that phrase makes them "anti-racist" There is a bizarre Orientalism at work here — not Edward Said's Orientalism — but a mindset that thinks that Iranian women should be in hijab, have strident anti-American and anti-Israel views, and be modest in their appearance. To the left, those are the 'authentic' Iranians, as if being oppressed is a hallmark of authenticity When the left sees young Iranian women in trendy western dress and tattoos, they react like complete reactionaries — and racists Because at the end of the day, their entire worldview is one in which the predominantly white western world is fully deserving of women's rights, but the "Islamic world" is decidedly not

If Goebbels had today’s social media, he’d have organized worldwide protests against the liberation of Germany. The same useful idiots marching for Iran’s Mullah regime would have marched for the Nazis.

I don't see a future for all these little SaaS solutions. Today marketing asked me if we should book one of these QR Code redirect services for our business cards. Would cost 150 EUR per year. I just built it myself with #ClaudeCode - hosting it on a Hetzner VPS for a fraction of the cost. Not only that - it also creates print-ready business cards. I know that the real challenges with SaaS come with scale but how much scale do you need for a single tenant solution?

This week I visited our production site in Lahore, Pakistan. One of my goals: introduce a spectrophotometer and a proper workflow for color quality control in our textile production. It quickly became clear that the app and cloud solution bundled with the device didn't cover what we actually needed. But the spectrometer offers a mobile SDK - so I wrote a detailed spec for a custom iOS app tailored to our QC workflow, then built a cloud backend to sync and share color data between our teams in Austria and Pakistan. From Monday through Friday, I kept iterating on both the app and the web admin - deployed it on Hetzner Cloud, and today we rolled it out to our staff in Lahore. A project like this would have taken months to build solo, or a serious budget to outsource. But if you combine AI tooling with solid knowledge in software architecture and requirements engineering, it genuinely becomes a superpower. This might be one of the best things "I" ever built. Still figuring out how much credit I can take. :) Stack: Nix Spectro 2 spectrophotometer, Claude AI, Hetzner Cloud.

I had product data (stock, calculations, bill of materials) in several excel files which weren't using the same naming conventions at all. Typos, completely different terms for the same things, no product IDs at all. I employed #ClaudeCode to analyze the data and build a pipeline to create a unified product database. It took several attempts but it would have been an almost impossible task without AI. AI also created the data flow diagram, yes.

So ... I have created a SaaS and after three weeks of work it's complete, has a payment and referral system and a responsive state of the art design. Would have been impossible to pull off without #claudecode. 30 years of engineering skills GenAI is really a superpower.

Hey @Roblox, your photo based age verification estimated my 13 year old daughter to be 16 or 17 and then also changed her birthdate in the system so that she can 'interact with people around her age' and she can't change the DoB back without id check. Are you out of your mind!?

Hey @TurkishAirlines, I'd like to book a flight but I can't. I get this message after the passenger selection. What should I do now? I would deem it mission critical if your checkout process doesn't work. Do you agree?

All these years catching my own bugs working with slightly careless developers really pay off when working with Claude Code. I can anticipate what it will screw up.

Left tech a while ago. Now built a platform for my company using Claude Code. 4 days in (not even full-time). Being an engineer is still essential: you need to know what good code looks like where guardrails are. First-gen output would’ve been a security nightmare. Now I run sub-agents like a dev team. Haven’t written a single line yet - final review is of course on me. This is not the next shiny new thing. This changes everything. If your job as an engineer isn't solving fundamental CS problems but what most engineers do today (websites, apps), everything is different than how it was a year ago.

Hey @TK_HelpDesk / @TurkishAirlines you changed my flight, I want to confirm and I get this? What am I supposed to do with that information. Your automated phone process also fails after I entered my ticket number. Why does your process for customer feedback just hang up on me, telling me that I should do it just online? Why do you make it so hard to get to a human agent? What should I do now to confirm the flight change and select my seat (for which I payed) again?
