ALT Ekphrasis affords us the opportunity to bind our words to our favorite (or least favorite) works of art. In this workshop with Dr. Rita Mookerjee, we will push the boundaries of ekphrastic writing to add elements of comedy, wonder, and rage. We will discuss the history of ekphrastic writing and analyze contemporary works that celebrate this versatile tradition before closing with some prompts.
