This week is #Type2DiabetesPreventionWeek 🔵 How effective are referrals to the NHS Diabetes Prevention Programme? We funded research to find out, discovering that a referral reduces someone’s chance of developing type 2 diabetes by 20%. The study also made some suggestions for improving the programme further. Women in medicine: - Earn less. - Are less likely to be in leadership. - Have fewer research opportunities. - Spend more hours on domestic responsibilities. Yet, they still spend more time with patients and provide better care. The bias against women needs to END.
