The naija no dey carry last is a maxim that personifies the individual Nigerian spirit of excellence. That's why wherever you go globally, you see Nigeria s excelling whether in medicine, finance or tech, we're well represented. What we need to do is translate this individual excellence to collective excellence. I believe younger millennials and Gen Z are on the path there and our country will be great in our lifetime.
“naija no dey carry last” very stupid lie, we dey last for everything in this life!

The Nigerian state needs a way to raise revenue. Regressive approaches like this are however not ideal. We need expansionary ways that prioritize export focused sectors and encourage diaspora and foreign investment. These are hard things to achieve especially when propaganda is your only forte. We need an austere leader who understands trade and value creation. Look at all the candidates in the forthcoming elections and only one fits the bill.

Modern-day pastors have a penchant for being called "father", "daddy" or "papa". They know the power this holds so they glory in it. Well, the scriptures warned us that we have only one father. Flee from churches where calling the pastor father is the norm.

People say this as if the counter factual to Obi is a hypothetical. It's not. We are currently living through the application of the "depth" of wisdom of a president/party and the result has been economic devastation. Plummeting GDP per capita, runaway inflation and crippling insecurity. A government so fiscally incompetent it's running three concurrent budgets, releasing less than 1% of the critical health budget. It's absurd that this malevolent milieu inspires an "Obi is underwhelming" post. Well if this is the case then I don't think an English word has yet been invented to fully capture how disastrous this current administration has been. We'll have to turn to German to help; schlimmbesserung!

I never see this kind thing before for my life. Incumbent supporter dey campaign as underdog. APC people get natural talent in opposition, whether in govt or out. Make una do commot govt make una talent shine wella 😂
I have met a lot of people that voted Peter Obi the last time and will be voting PBAT next year. I have also met a lot of people that voted Peter Obi last time but will sit out this election because Peter Obi hasn’t been as inspiring as he was in 2023 and they do not consider the alternatives as better. I haven’t met a single PBAT supporter that is now supporting Peter Obi or any other candidate( this is my reality) I believe this administration hasn’t lived up to certain hype but I cannot deny that it’s been reform minded. Helping correct structural issues that have plagued this country far too long. For example, the recent passage of the state policing bill is by no means a mean feat. That this administration makes it look easy or don’t blow their trumpet so loudly does not diminish the huge significance of the bill and the tireless work that they put into it. The implementation of the Nigeria Payments System Vision 2028 ( championed by CBN) is another policy that has gone under the radar(I believe we should all read about the policy) . This is one policy that will revolutionize our financial system for good. One that will birth several financial innovation and products. There is no eradication of poverty without financial inclusion and it appears CBN is on an articulated agenda towards a sustainable path. For some of us, there are enough reasons to stick around this current administration. The alternatives aren’t as inspiring and simply do not have what it takes to out perform this current administration.

Thank you my president. For a football crazed country of 200 million naturally athletic people to not be able to find 11 men to get us into the world cup twice in a row despite the expansion to 10 African teams points directly to a leadership failure. We need a leader who will lead by example and demand accountability for failings like this that pervades every single sector. You're exactly the man for the job.
As the World Cup Begins Without Nigeria As the World Cup begins today across three nations, I identify with our teeming football followers and urge them not to be despondent that Nigeria is not participating, despite the abundant talent in our land. Our failure to participate on the global stage is not due to a deficit of talent; it is a direct consequence of a deficit in leadership, planning, and institutional support. The task of building a better Nigeria rests primarily on the shoulders of the younger generation. Do not watch the World Cup with despair; rather, see it as a reminder of where Nigeria ought to be. We must move our country from being a nation of mere consumers of global entertainment to a nation of proud producers and competitors. A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

I got my first angel check 8 years ago from someone I met on this app. We still haven't met in person. Key is to do good work, post about your work and put yourself out there. Capital always finds those that are earnestly making progress and are willing to do the real work.
Founders, how do I find angel investors as a first-time founder with no fundraising experience?

I'll counter this narrative anywhere. Do you people know half the things Obi has had to deal with for the last four years? You think it's everything that enters the public eye. And even in the public domain, a sitting governor threatened Obi and his convoy was attacked. That Obi is still in the conversion with the evil that APC is capable of is all the evidence you need of a gritty and persistent leader that Nigeria needs. One who will stare down the evil cabals holding us back while sticking to his principles. Obi has done his part by getting on the ballot. It is up to us the people who want a better Nigeria to put him in Aso rock.
Peter Obi prepared for this election for FOUR YEARS. Four years. Four good years. See how he arrives at it. When somebody is capable of strong leadership, you will know.

10 African teams at the world cup and Nigeria is not one of them. Criminal level performance by NFF that we are not angry enough about.

Many people have the misconception that therapy is about dispensing explanations and advice. It’s an understandable misconception but it’s dead wrong. More than a century of clinical knowledge, accrued over generations, teaches us us that advice and prepackaged “answers” don't help. Psychotherapy is about coming to know *oneself* more fully and deeply, and discovering our own answers—answers that align with our own internal experience and are right for us personally. No one can know those kinds of answers in advance. It’s hard work and it often involves facing painful truths we’d often prefer to avoid. People want a bypass around that kind of hard work. They want prepackaged answers served on a platter. That’s what makes his kind if AI slop so compelling to so many.

I don't buy this position. Part of Obi's appeal is his authenticity. Too polished, he risks alienating the base he most connects with. The memory of a well packaged Buhari is still fresh. Besides, in an AI dominated world, authenticity is a key differentiator. His "rag tag" media approach helped him to 6 million votes, Why change now?
Okwute @PeterObi needs his own professional media team, and I’m not talking about the usual ShePeteri Twitter boys and girls. He needs seasoned communicators, strategists, and media professionals without baggage who can effectively shape and protect his message. That is the only way he can clearly distinguish himself from the Aki and Pawpaw media appointments made by NDC while reassuring his core supporters that their concerns are being heard. If he doesn’t move quickly on this, there could be serious consequences. His support base has remained loyal because they believe in him and the values he represents. Keeping that base motivated and engaged should be a top priority. Ọ bụrụ na emeghị ya ngwa ngwa, nsogbu dị.
