Yes Musk got extensive subsidies that helped make him obscenely wealthy. It also made 10’s of 1000’s of others wealthy and positively changed the lives 100’s of 1000’s more. I’m not for corporatism but sometimes it works amazingly well. The most important part is this, musk will do way more good with his wealth than that government ever would or could. Musk has 800 million liquid and the rest is invested in companies that employ people and create more shareholder wealth. Thinking that the government could confiscate his money and do more public good than he can means you know less than zero about how government works.
