The @Conservatives, @DHSCgovuk & @NHSEngland have decided, rather than being the ‘stepping stone’ year to signal safety, stability, and hope - 2024 will instead signal reduced patient access to GP services as well as likely closures of GP practices across the country.

The GP committee had a good & productive meeting with @andrealeadsom
She listened to concerns regarding GP funding, ARRS, retention of GPs & the need for GPs to be supported
There are more patients per GP but also a shortage of work for GPs
She told us that GP was a priority

I worked as a GP in care homes during the 1st wave. Wearing limited &homemade PPE. Asking patients I’d just met what their end of life preferences were, with my face hidden behind mask and visor. Seeing the impact of no testing before discharge. And so many deaths #Breathtaking

1/3 Beware of #fraud #scams - Xmas day interrupted by alert from @NatWest_Help re possible fraud. Spoke to helpful team, card refunded & reissued 👍🏻Two mins later call back from them. Colleague forgot to go through emergency security questions - need to repeat verification

2/3 v confident man, knew details of fraudulent transactions. Didn’t sound quite legit. When I said I wasn’t convinced call was genuine & wld ring back Natwest team myself was told to f** off. Clearly this was the fraudster trying to get info and thankfully his act wasn’t spot on

3/3 They’ve tried again this morning with an automated call from “Natwest bank” asking me to input date of birth - be careful!! Easy to fall for and persistent @actionfrauduk @WhichUK @NatWest_Help
