I have only once written a personal column in ⁦@PrivateEyeNews⁩ in 29 years. It explains why I have very strong views about people seeking help when they have suicidal thoughts, and those they seek help from listening and taking them seriously. Suicide isn’t painless.

We are paying 45 million pound to Serco for contact tracing. Serco’s 18000 call handlers contacted only 10,000 contacts in two weeks. Meanwhile local public health teams contacted 77600 contacts ie almost eight times more according to DHSC Test and Track data.

It's obvious to me that Jo Brand would never actually throw battery acid on anyone. It's even more obvious that she would never waste any of her fucking milkshake.

But the good news is that we can offer much more than the “blame” culture that is sometimes found in social discourse (magazines seem to be the worst). We can offer genuine, sensible and pragmatic advice, support and therapy. Let’s take this conversation BACK!

Jeremy Hunt is pitching for PM by promoting his “dynamism” fighting junior doctors. Well, when we empty-chaired him, instead of actually talking to us, FOR A WHOLE MONTH he entered his own dept using a secret underground tunnel. Prime Ministerial? It was sheer cowardice.

Tory candidates for PM are considering using royal powers to suspend Parliament for many months, concentrating power in own hands. Whatever you think on Brexit this is dangerous & irresponsible. That’s why today’s vote so Parliament can prevent prorogation is so important

Loss equivalent to 10% of the consultant workforce at our hospital due to the #tapertax - this will have a profound effect on patient care. Read our letter in @HSJnews at hsj.co.uk/download?ac=304173… @MattHancock @goldstone_tony @BBCHughPym @JosephineCumbo 50:50 will not solve this.

NHS managers are funded to pusue vendettas - heamorrhaging the NHS of skills @SueAllison809- highly trained in detection of breast cancer @drbeatt - an experienced Cardioloist regularly treating heart attacks. @Edwin1432 - A child surgeon doing specilist operations
When I passed my Masters in 2013 after 5 years of intensive clinical training in the detection and diagnosis of breast cancer I hoped I would be working in the NHS and helping women in need the rest of my working life however certain senior managers in my Trust had other ideas
