The usual ploy is for managers to say they will allow nurses to take time off in lieu of payment but then never allow them the time off. Doctors should support their nurses, but rarely do.

I’m sorry but this is TOTALLY unacceptable from @maitlis, Newsnight and the BBC. The BBC is REQUIRED to be impartial. This is a clear breach of their own rules. Commentators (including me) can give their own opinions, BBC presenters cannot.

Hancock refuses to make a commitment to protect NHS workers and whistleblowers. When this is all over the government will surely return to the default position approved by Hunt of abusing NHS workers and penalising those who raise concerns

Here’s a question. Croydon NHS and Capsticks have spent over £ 2 million destroying my career for exposing harm to patients and bullying of nurses, blocking my re-employment in the NHS for 8 years; all approved by Hunt. I have extensive ITU experience. Now can I be re-employed?

879K is a lot considering we asked on multiple occasions for a settlement for a fraction of this and an apology. Still, not as much as the greedy NHS lawyers made. In 1948 Bevan was worried about Consultants "stuffing their mouths with gold" not unscrupulous lawyers.
