In Uttarakhand’s Tehri Garhwal district : Dalit Ketan Lal (18yrs) befriended with a 15 yrs (minor) upper-caste girl. On 7 June night he received call from the girl's mobile called to her house. He went there with his friend Diwakar Dimri. Both of them was taken into custody by the girl's family. Whole night both of them were tortured. They were beaten with sticks, metal rods and other objects. Next day, (08/06/26) on Monday morning Ketan's father Dhanpal Lal received call from a man named - Yashbir Singh Panwar. The phone came from Dhanpal's son Ketan's phone. Dhanpal told the @IndianExpress "The caller identified himself and asked me where my son had been all night. I looked for him at home and told the caller he was not there. The man then said that my son and his friend had remained in his custody through the night, and that he and his family had broken their arms and legs. He said that he had killed my son and thrown him into a stream.” Ketan is no more. His friend is grievously injured. Dhanpal Lal Father of Ketan claimed that iron nails were found embedded in the body. He has videographed it and handed over to Police. End of the story that actually is not a story - it is culture.
