My talented wife painted this portrait of our son @jordanravimusic to celebrate him releasing his new single “February 14th”. Enjoy the time lapse and the song…

Remember those heady days just a couple of months ago when all everyone would constantly tweet and post Youtube videos about ClawdBot/MoltBot/OpenClaw ?? Ah, good times... I wonder whatever happened to OpenClaw?

Ahh... Just as I was about to start experimenting with Fable over the weekend, @AnthropicAI have shut it down for everyone outside the US...

There are some classics in my reading list that I keep on my side table in the office... Worth revisiting every now and then, because in this world of AI changes every hour, the basics of software design are still important...

Ok, I will say it - I actually *like* the look of the new Ferrari Luce... 🤷🏽‍♂️🚗 Aah... feels good not to conform to the crowdthink...

We take remote working to the limits here at our startup. My co-founder has been testing new interface changes and design choices this past week.... from Everest Basecamp! ⛰️

AI has been great for productivity in terms of coding, but what has really lifted the game for our company is hiring a dedicated Product Manager... And she has her own blog talking about design too! zeroheight.com/blog/balancin…

Whether you are a kid returning from uni/college, or a long time traveller/migrant going back to your point of origin, there is no "going home" any more. At least not the "home" you remembered. Key reason why the "Make 'x' great again" movements will never work.

In this age of AI slop videos, @YouTube really needs to bring back the downvote counter. I am now relying on the top 3 comments to see whether a video is worth watching or not...

Noticed Claude Code was 'Bunning' today, and at first I thought it was going to our local hardware chain for a good old traditional sausage sandwich, but then I looked up what the slang term for 'Bunning' is... 😳

I am having a hard enough time getting AI to stay focused just upgrading the front end of my large(ish) SaaS. I don't think AI could ever code it all from scratch, ever. And multiple agents? That is as controllable as unleashing a bunch of kids in an ice cream shop!
Talking to smarter folks than me, I'm convinced many of the AI folks in my timeline are full of shit. Nobody is "running 20 agents over night" and building stuff for actual users. Maybe some are building internal tools or disposable software. Maybe. But building software people like using? That doesn't get hacked on day one or blow up after the 3rd user? Nope. I don't even understand what that's supposed to look like. Do you work out a 57 pages document that perfectly describes what you want to build and then summon 14 agents and have them run wild for 6 hours? And what comes out on the other end isn't a broken pile of shit? Nope. Not buying it. PS: it may also be that I have an IQ of 82 and can't figure it out.

Devan's AI Law: Every Youtube video you see promoting @openclaw in some way is just a thin veneer for a blatant @Hostinger affiliate promotion... youtube.com/watch?v=FM5-R4VP…

We have indeed come full circle... I remember when "it's compiling and/or linking" was a great excuse to goof off and do something different for quite a while. Then Borland brought out the Turbo compilers and you didn't have time to sneeze!
When I was a kid, I would wait impatiently several minutes for my code to compile. Now as an adult, I impatiently wait several minutes for Claude Code to write the thing, then it compiles rather quickly. Same problem, 30 years apart.

Founders with small dev teams: What is a good metric/KPI to ensure consistent performance? I feel the "no. of commits" is no better than LOC, so what is the best indicator of productivity (or more importantly, slow decline thereof)?

It would seem that my daily Claude Code CLI token usage has dropped by around 75% after implementing the claude-mem plugin?!? No degradation in skills or extra hallucinating or going down rabbit holes either...

I had put off the major modernisation of our SaaS UI front end for years because it was such a mammoth task, but AI now makes that job a matter of a few days work, instead of months... Nothing scrubs through 60K LOC to do the boring things better...

65 years since Gagarin was launched into space - one of my childhood heroes.
12 April 1961. 06.07 UTC/GMT Vostok 1 launched from Baikonur with Major Yuri Alexeyevich Gagarin. After a single orbit, the first man in space landed safely back on Earth at 07.55 UTC/GMT.

I always wished that our Phabricator/Phorge project management system had a Github style activity chart, so today I got @openclaw to vibe code something for the entire team to see. In 2 minutes we have a fun gamification of our work to inspire us...
