Excited to share our Registered Replication on whether Women are Really (Not) More Talkative Than Men: osf.io/preprints/psyarxiv/9u…. The results are complex but describe a reality different from what the photos below show 😊. Kudos to Colin Tidwell, Alex Danvers, and Valeria Pfeifer.

Great paper, I highly recommend!
At last! A rather technical paper on using simulation to compare how you can get different conclusions from different analyses of a dataset - nothing new to trials people, but it still needs saying - applied to a reading intervention journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.… #DeclareDesign

I was deeply unplugged for a bit and missed this announcement, but here's a great (and still incomplete) list of some of our exciting and recent papers at #AMPPS h/t @PsychScience

Ever wondered how Registered Reports differ from the regular literature? Some great work has been done on this (eg by @annemscheel @lakens @cksoderberg) & I'd like to also highlight recent work of @AoifeOMahony15 whose PhD thesis you can download here! orca.cardiff.ac.uk/id/eprint…

I just learned that John Nesselroade, developmental psychologist and methodologist @UVA passed away. My dissertation was based in large part on John's work, and he was a hugely influential figure in our field. Read his work-- always lucid and incredibly thoughtful. RIP

We have an open call for commentaries on Rife et al, so you can go ahead and submit your paper again if you'd like-- the points seem relevant to this RRR as well.
I already know the Rife et al RR was not piloted, so I am just going to change the citation and put in basically exactly the same comment. The question is why you all keep doing it this way even though ive submitted the comment to you already few times x.com/seanrife/status/180926…

Abstracts are your paper's first impression. A weak abstract can sink even the best research. I transformed my abstract game with this 6-step Nature formula (and you can, too)

Worse than this -- much worse -- is the judgement of researchers as grant machines, which is to say "indirect cost" machines. It robs you of the joy inherent in scholarship by transforming your curiosity into a revenue stream, and eats away at your soul.
